Ending

Glitches

On both the arcade and the home version of the game, if the language is set to anything other than Japanese, the game will freeze and/or reset on certain endings.

The first time this can happen is if the last boss is the 2nd version of Jin Chonshu. After beating him, you'll get an ending showing Chonshu dead on the floor. On the third text screen, a garbled message appears and the game freezes. This happens on the arcade and home versions. What's supposed to happen is that Jin Chonrei shows up and the game goes back to the title screen.

The second time this happens is if the last boss is Jin Chonrei. After beating him, the game crashes the moment your character appears in the cutscene (except if your character was Geese). This happens only in the arcade version, the home release fixed this glitch.

The Neo Geo CD and Arcade Archives versions of Fatal Fury 3 fixed all the ending bugs.

Cut-Off Text

The good endings for Blue Mary and Bob Wilson get cut off in the non-Japanese versions of the game. The complete line should read (the text in parenthesis is what was cut-off):

Blue Mary

Why didn't you tell me about the Jins?!
Oh, take you job! I'm off to the (sun of Greece!)

Bob Wilson
