Hmmm...
To do:
Add Japanese text for all the changed lines.

Version 1.0.1

Elementary, my dear Cactus.
This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: It seems Catherine's 3D model received an update during this update.

Released for all regions on the day of the game's launch. Featured a handful of minor tweaks:

  • Support for the first wave of Expansion Pass DLC was added.
    • Support for changing Byleth's costume was added to the Journal.
  • Unspecified bug fixes.

Script Changes

Version 1.0.1 made minor changes to the game's English script, mostly changing punctuation and switching around some wording.

Version 1.0.2

Released for all regions on September 10, 2019. Made the following changes:

  • The Maddening Mode difficulty was added.
  • The initial renown bonus awarded at the start of a New Game+ save file was altered:
    • The player now gains 10,000 points of renown per previous completed playthrough in the New Game+ file, rather than 10,000 points per path completed. This bonus is also added retroactively to save files which had passed this point prior to the patch's release.
  • The renown cap was increased to 50,000.
  • A section for viewing the Goddess Tower cutscenes from the ball was added to the Event Gallery.
  • Male Byleth's original English voice, performed by Chris Niosi, was completely replaced with a new performance by Zach Aguilar; the same had been done for his appearance in Fire Emblem Heroes some months earlier.
  • Corrected an erroneous character design in an unspecified event illustration.
  • Support for the second wave of Expansion Pass DLC was added.
  • Bug fixes:
    • Removed a game freeze caused by using Fortify while an unspecified skill is equipped.
    • Corrected an error in the White Heron Cup sequence in which Caspar would speak one of Linhardt's lines instead of his own.
    • Corrected an erroneous display of a “TBD” message when mastering combat.
    • Corrected an unspecified issue with critical hit cut-ins.
    • Corrected an error where Rescue would not warp an ally to a space near the magic's user.
    • The player can no longer walk into the central area within the desk ring in the Cardinals' room.
    • Other, unspecified bugs.

Script Changes

The 1.0.2 patch notes non-specifically say that "some text was revised". This update made multiple changes, added color to some important in-game warnings, and even changed some support conversations, such as Alois and Leonie's A support and Bernadetta and Byleth's B support. Many minor changes were also made to correct typos or make small clarifications, such as capitalizing instances of "major" and "minor crest". Lastly, the explanation of some messages, changes, and mechanics were altered to be more clear.

Oh, hello there, Professor. Did you need something from me? It doesn't look like you're wounded or anything. You just looking for...someone to talk to?
If Byleth answers "Yes."
I thought so. Well, I'm here for you! Making you feel better is my top priority.

Come on now, you don't have to be shy. Helping you feel better is important to me.
Regardless

Script Changes

Among other small wording tweaks and fixes, this update fixed a truly staggering amount of double-space errors (possibly carried out via find-replace, seeing as how some completely unused strings were changed as well), and corrected some of the characters' birth years listed in their roster bios to properly take into account that Fódlan's calendar year starts in a different month than the real world's.
