The debut of Fire Pro in the west.

Coincidentally, the Japanese version released just two days before WWE (then WWF) announced they bought WCW.

Unused Text

The game has text related to some sort of test menu and sound test.

Regional Differences

Hmmm...
To do:
Name changes such as wrestlers/moves/etc. There's likely too much to list them all.

Title Screen

The English version zoomed out the background, now colored pink instead of blue. The copyright info is larger and removed the VAiLL credit.

Roster

  • Wrestlers' costumes and skin tones have been changed to avoid potential legal issues. Some move names with potential trademark conflicts were also changed, such as the Stone Cold Stunner (which was abbreviated even in the original Japanese version) being rechristened "Deep Freeze".
  • The WFW and WWC are renamed APW and AWG.
  • The number of wrestlers per column in the menu is reduced from five to four.

Other

Promotions are listed in a different order, emphasizing wrestlers more familiar to western audiences. The Japanese version's select screen starts on the NJPW analog View Japan, while the English version defaults to the WWF equivalent APW/WFW instead.
