As it turns out, judging by the NTSC region code and RP rating on the disc, and that the menus are all in English, this version must have been the one released to North America, available by requesting Toyota Prius brochures from Toyota's web site, or by attending Toyota's stand at the 2004 New York International Auto Show (hence the "TOYOTA 2004 NEW YORK Ver." text on the title screen). There's another Prius in this version that uses the same HUD used in the Japanese demo version. However, the Motor Triathlon Race Car is also included, which uses another different HUD showing its 4 acceleration and braking gauges and center of gravity. Also, instead of doing races, you're doing free runs with a time limit on either the 90s version of Fuji Speedway or the Grand Canyon. What's interesting to note is that the Grand Canyon track is in an early stage of development here. Instead of the course being entirely made of dirt, the first section is all tarmac. It also places a finish line right after the jumpy part, cutting off the last section of the track. In addition, while the Motor Triathlon Race Car can race on Grand Canyon, the car cannot race in dirt or snow tracks in final GT4; the reverse is true for the Prius.

An European version of the demo is also reported to exist, with difference of branding, commemorating the Geneva Motor Show (as indicated in the title screen and disc).
