Guitar Hero 5 is the fifth main installment in the Guitar Hero series, adding in new features like Party Play, which basically amounts to the all the songs and DLC on shuffle mode; Rockfest mode, a variety of competitive modes; importing soundtracks from previous games, just like Rock Band, but you could only import a little under half of the previous games' on-disc soundtracks, and all DLC from World Tour (except for the two Jimi Hendrix DLC packs); and Challenges in career mode, where you could earn in-game items by performing certain objectives, whether on a specific intrument or for the whole band.

Under the DATA/files/songs folder, there are a handful of charts that are not used in the game.
Possibly referring to "Addicted" by Saving Abel (which was later released as DLC), this chart consists of a single sustain note on all parts.
Perhaps most interestingly of all, this is a chart of a live version of "Black Dog" by Led Zeppelin. Only Expert is fully charted (lower difficulties have a placeholder note), and Star Power is charted on Guitar, Bass, and Drums. The video on the right features the song being played on the fan game Clone Hero, with vocals played on Rock Band 2 (note that Clone Hero does not support 5-lane drums like in Guitar Hero, so the song is retrofitted with 4-lane drums, with blue and green notes as blue and green tom notes and orange notes as green cymbals).
The Guitar Hero: Metallica chart of "Beautiful Morning" by Machine Head.
A chart of "Believe" by The Bravery, with all instruments on all difficulties and Star Power charted. This chart would later be used in Band Hero.
The career version of the Ted Nugent boss battle in Guitar Hero: World Tour.
The career version of the Zakk Wylde boss battle in Guitar Hero: World Tour.
A chart of "Bug Eyes" by dredg with all instruments on all difficulties and Star Power charted.
The World Tour chart of "B.Y.O.B." by System of a Down.
The World Tour chart of "Dammit" by blink-182.
The World Tour chart of "Hot for Teacher" by Van Halen.
An empty chart.
A chart of "I Alone" by Live with Drums and Vocals fully charted with Star Power (Guitar and Bass only have placeholder notes).
The World Tour chart of "La Bamba" by Los Lobos.
The World Tour chart of "Lazy Eye" by Silversun Pickups.
The World Tour chart of "Love Spreads" by The Stone Roses.
A chart of "March of the Pigs" by Nine Inch Nails with all instruments on all difficulties and Star Power charted.
A medley of several songs from World Tour, namely "Beautiful Disaster" by 311, "Freak on a Leash" by KoRn, "About a Girl (Unplugged)" by Nirvana, "What I've Done" by Linkin Park, "Are You Gonna Go My Way" by Lenny Kravitz, "Feel the Pain" by Dinosaur Jr., "Prisoner of Society" by The Living End, and "Dammit" by blink-182
The World Tour chart of "Obstacle 1" by Interpol.
The World Tour chart of "One Armed Scissor" by At the Drive-In.
The World Tour chart of "On The Road Again" by Willie Nelson.
A chart of "(Oh) Pretty Woman" by Roy Orbison, with all instruments on all difficulties and Star Power charted. This chart would later be used in Band Hero.
The World Tour chart of "Pull Me Under" by Dream Theater.
A chart of "Take a Picture" by Filter, with all instruments on all difficulties and Star Power charted. This chart would later be used in Band Hero.
A chart of "The Beatiful People" by Marilyn Manson, with all instruments on all difficulties and Star Power charted. This chart would later be used when the song was released as DLC.
The World Tour chart of "The Joker" by Steve Miller Band.
