Developer Messages

Eval Message

If you return eval from a script, you are met with this message:

Hi! If you are reading this, you probably have been paid to write or break JS at some point.
You will be EXCELLENT at this game.
You also must understand how hard it is to protect the scripting environment for this game--

On the other side of these walls is no-longer the game. If you find any gaps in the walls of the sandbox, please send them to sandbox@hackmud.com --

If you find something and don't let me know, I'll have to remove you from the game.
Which sucks, because I know you'd probably really enjoy AND be super awesome at the game I've put together for you --inside-- the sandbox.

Best,
Sean

Store Message

If you decompile the game, you can find this message:

Hi. If you are reading this message, you are a real hacker. I think that's awesome--
but what you are doing right now is creating more work for me. I'm only one person working on this game. Every time I have to add code
to protect against custom clients or imbalanced play 'outside of the sandbox' it takes away from feature work and bug fixes inside the game.
This impacts the quality of the game for EVERYONE. If you like the game, then consider supporting it by supporting the integrity of the sandbox.
Play the game 'inside the game' please.

Needless to say, continuing on this path is an act in violation of the terms of use, punishable by law, and just generally some real self-serving bullshit.

I made this game for YOU, so why would you fuck it up like this?

Proxy/Reflect Message

If you return Proxy or Reflect from a script, you are met with this message:

Proxy is currently unavailable. If you need it for some reason, we can discuss.
