Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (Windows)/Misplaced objects, items, and other oddities

From The Cutting Room Floor
Jump to navigation Jump to search

This is a sub-page of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (Windows).

There are TONS of misplaced objects, items, and weird oddities placed out of bounds, never to be seen by the average player... But with the help of a walk-thru-walls exploit, we can uncover these treasures! View the images in their native resolution to get a better look.

Hmmm...
To do:
Document the rest of the things and see if any locations that completely disable flying have any misplaced objects, specifically, the practice areas, and the Yolkian Ships.

Neighborhood

Jimmy's House

Collectible Mobile in Jimmy's Room

The mobile in Jimmy's room can be collected for 500 points. Jimmy says "Excellent!" when it is collected.

Just need a quick reference to the solar system...

Odd Wall

A duplicate wall of Jimmy's room can be found out of bounds.

Leapin' Leptons! Somebody built a wall outside my bathroom!

School

Main Area

House Interior

On the school grounds, this house doesn't look all that interesting except that Goddard points to two objects inside, but...

I wonder what's inside...

This house actually has an inside! There is a red neutron, and a candy bar to collect!

It's a secret to everyone!

Misplaced Balloons

There are two balloons in the rightmost house near the edge of the area.

Aww... I wasn't invited...

Inside the School

Misplaced Coins

Underneath the library, some coins can be found out of bounds. Goddard will point to these while using the remote.

Future reference: If you want to keep your life savings secure, place them in the walls! It's geinus!

Dirt Track

The School Grounds?

The whole school grounds portion can be fully explored with some very odd changes!

Dirt Track Items

A couple items hidden outide the dirt track can be found.

Should you even be eating candy you pick up from the ground anyway?
Even MORE flowers?

The 2nd Dino

This dino can be shrunk and picked up, essentially making it a second dino! You can't return it to the cage in the lab once the other one has been, and the other dino cage doesn't have any triggers to be able to return it, either.

So THAT'S where the other dinosaur went off to! I was wondering where it went!

Downtown

Main Area

Abducted Person

During the day, an abducted person can be seen beyond the buildings. He's just... floating there.

Hey, you ok there, buddy?

Retroland

Main Area

Misplaced Blue Neutron

Underneath the bridge to the Midway Games, a blue neutron can be found.

Just in case you need extra energy for the games! Oh wait...

Midway Games

Hidden Think Tank Item

This is the big one! Hidden in the right most tank in the Think Tank booth is an invisible object that is worth a WHOPPIN' 1000 POINTS!
That's the HIGHEST point value of anything in the game! Everything else in the game doesn't award you with anything higher than 500 points!

It's like they WANT you to find this stuff!

Show Me the Mummy

Hidden Red Neutron

In the Show me the Mummy area in Retroland, a red neutron can be found next to the Sphinx's left paw.

Where was this one supposed to go?

Power Plant

Interior

Front Door Warp

Right beyond the door at the start of the area is a warp that, if triggered correctly, takes you back outside the power plant.
It seems that you originally had to walk all the way back to the beginning of the power plant to leave rather than from the control room. It would make sense, considering how high you are in the control room, and that the cutscene plays after leaving through the front door. It is very tricky to trigger this warp.

Can I leave yet?

Misplaced Platforms

Under the power plant, two platforms can be found floating in the void.

Announcer: You have successfully landed on this platform! What are you going to do now?
Jimmy: I'm going to outer space to rescue my friend from robotic eggs! *Followed by cheering*

Red Neutrons

On one of the beams near the ceiling is a red neutron.

Can't they place red neutrons in normal places?

While this one isn't really hidden, it is extremely difficult to collect normally!

The hardest climb for a red neutron, shocking isn't it?

Area 51

Main Area

Misplaced Blue Neutrons

Someone hasn't been paying attention! There are three blue neutrons placed underneath the canyon. View the full size image to see them.

This definitely makes sense!

This is a closer view of the farthest one in the last screenshot.

There it is, blue and neutral.

Oh, look! Another one!

Yay.

Yet another one. That one above Jimmy's head.

Just how many of these did they plan on adding!?

Hidden UFO

In the rocky arch near the train bridge, a UFO is hidden in it. Jimmy says "Excellent" when it is collected.

What kind of UFOs are these, anyway?

Beyond the Boundary

There is a lot of flat empty space beyond the level boundary that goes on for quite a ways before abruptly stopping at the void.

Area 51 was already desolate, but this takes the cake!
This is where trespassers are taken after being caught by security 500 times.

Rocket Maze (Part 1)

Misplaced Yolkian Bomb

A Yolkian bomb to the right of the start of the cave can be seen floating in the void. It will not explode.

I think this one's a dud!

Misplaced Blue Neutron

In the ice cave, there is a misplaced blue neutron by the small hole.

Seven? Is that 7 misplaced blue neutrons now?

Misplaced Gem

Above the small hole connecting the two ice chambers is a pink gem. Jimmy says "Cool!" when it is collected.

Nothing can hide from Jimmy Neutron!

Misplaced Stalagmite

A stalagmite can be found out of bounds near the cave intersection.

Blue neutrons, jewels, and stalagmites, oh my!

Rocket Maze (Part 2)

Void Door

Here's an odd one: Near the end of the second cave to the left is... Ms. Fowl's classroom door? It's just sitting there in the void between two rocks... Why something like this of all things would be here is a mystery.

At this point, I'm just ready to be done with the game!
