JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is a remaster of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle for PS3. In this game, players can battle using characters from the first 8 parts of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, as well as Ikuro Hashizawa (a.k.a. Baoh) from the first game.

As it is a port of an existing game, there are many unused files from the PS3, version, among other things.

To do: Find more unused content by using some tools Find a way to get access to the Debug Mode Organize better. Upload images and details of unused animations. Upload images of unused models and graphics. Add more info about JoJo's Bizarre Adventure content found in this game.

Speedwagon Guide Character

GuideCharParam.bin.xfbin is unused data, which reveals that Robert E. O. Speedwagon was originally intended to reprise his role as the guide character for the game's Mode Select menu, but he never shows up in the final version.

In v_sys_etc.acb/awb and messageInfo.bin.xfbin, many unused voice clips and text for Robert E. O. Speedwagon can be found, originally from the aforementioned dropped feature of him being the Mode Select guide.

His audio files in v_sys_etc.acb/awb differ from that in ASB and explicitly mention the new "All-Star Battle Mode", a mode specific to ASBR.

Like most of ASBR's graphics, these images are of higher quality than the ones in ASB but are otherwise unchanged. The exception to this is Speedwagon, who was recolored to fit his color scheme from the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime by David Production, suggesting that there was consideration of using this image in ASBR for a guide character.

Final Pucci Placeholder Image

Before the game's release, a placeholder image was leaked, showing Final Pucci's Victory Pose 2, with his old design featuring his clothing from the first anime series along with the old version of Made in Heaven. The kanji "仮" translates to "temporary".

Unused Music

The full theme music for the ASB story mode remains in ASBR, though it goes unused. However, it can be heard in the Tournament mode before the start of any fight.

Regional Differences

The following differences for the Japanese version also appear in international versions of All-Star Battle R that allow the text to be changed to Japanese.

Caution Screen

In the Japanese version, a unique health and safety message, featuring Robert E. O. Speedwagon, displays after booting the game.

Translation (unofficial): "It is I, the meddlesome Speedwagon! While you're playing games, make sure the room is well-lit and that you're as far away from the TV screen as possible, you rich amateur! Plus, make sure to take 15-minute breaks for every hour you play for the sake of your own health!"

Health and safety messages like this one are common in Japanese video games, though they are typically displayed in a standard format.

Bandai Logo

The Japanese version displays the original Bandai logo at the start instead of the standard Bandai Namco logo.
