Just Dance 2023 Edition (simply known in-game as Just Dance), the fourteenth game in Ubisoft's dance game series, serves as the final annual installment of the series, with all future content for the game set to be added in through online updates. It introduces a story-based mode in the form of a playlist titled "Enter the Danceverses", and also features a new streaming service called Just Dance +, serving as the replacement for Just Dance Unlimited.

Scrapped Name

• Concept art for the game refers to the game as "JDNEXT", implying that its original name was Just Dance Next.
  • This is also proven by the codenames of Boy With Luv and Toxic, which are respectively "BoyWithLuvNext" and "ToxicNext".
    • A potential logo for Just Dance Next can be found in the game files for the Nintendo Switch version of the game.

• Leftover files for PS4 and Xbox One ports for the game were found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers, implying that the game might have been intended to return to these consoles.

• The first public builds of Just Dance 2023 Edition used a Beta version of the routine, where there are no spotlights on the four hypnotized coaches, the soldiers surrounding the center stage did not stop walking, and Mihaly erroneously appeared in the portal to Rather Be. This was fixed on November 21, 2022, upon the release of the Day 1 patch.
