LEGO Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge (PlayStation)/Unused Dialogue & Strings

From The Cutting Room Floor
Jump to navigation Jump to search

This is a sub-page of LEGO Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge (PlayStation).

Hmmm...
To do:
  • Upload associated voice clips, unless the voice clip is used but the subtitle is not, in which case just leave the subtitle.
  • Double check and confirm other lines in: LIFSM6.STR, LIFSM10.STR, LIFSM12.STR, LIFSM13.STR, LIFSM14.STR
  • Check empty files in other regions and the prototype.

Some of the voice lines here are used, but have subtitles that are never displayed. Additionally, a number of minigame strings loaded into memory while on a given Island go unused due to their respective levels not surviving into this port.

Note that most of the game forces text to be displayed in all caps, regardless of how the original string was typed.

Notes

The following dialogue files are empty: LIFSM9.STR , LIFSM11.STR , PAR.STR

LECSBE14:119 Watch dis! Unused line found between used lines while the Brickster is preparing his Patented Brickster Dragon Breath.
LECSBE22:127 Shhhhhhhhhhhhh! Placed just before the Infomaniac's snoring, presumably for the Brickster.
LECSRS06:583 Oh, before I forget, that radio is battery powered. These three lines were intended for the DJ, presumably at some point the radio was to be powered by collectable batteries.
LECSRS07:584 You may need theeeeeeeese.
LECSRS08:585 Oh sorry, Pepper, you'll have to pick those up as you go.
LECSSB01:586 Officer Nick Brick, The Pied Piper of Pizza is here with Brick-Bot Presumably for an earlier story in which Pepper would guide the Bricksterbots to the police station rather then catching them outright. Even the actually used lines reference this. Also note, the spelling of Bricksterbot as "Brick-Bot"
LECSSB02:587 Pepper, that's using music as a dangerous weapon!
LECSSB03:588 I'll arrest the radio.
LECSBR01:148 Hooray, good find! As with the next few lines, collecting pages doesn't cause dialogue in this port.
LECSBR02:149 Paging Bill Ding. Bill Ding was removed from this port.
LECSBR03:150 We have located a page, over.
LECSBR04:151 We're doing it now, Pepper, dude.
LECSBR05:152 Yesssiree, Pepper Roni.
LECSBR06:153 Aha!
LECSBR07:154 A page is found.
LECSBR08:155 Yes, got it!
LECSBR09:156 Too cool.
LECSBR10:157 Good job, if I say so myself.
LECSBR11:158 Finders keepers!
LECSBR12:159 Paging Bill Ding for Building!
LEINEM01:56 Good day Mr Mail, still sorting I see. Ed Mail was removed for this port.
LEINEM02:57 Is my parcel here? I'm expecting some special bricks.
LEINNS01:48 Yo Nubby, I hear you have some great bricks for me. Nubby was removed for this port, Nancy gives you his bricks instead.
LEINPB01:65 Hello Pete, just popping in to see how things are going. Character removed from port.
LEINPB01:66 Sounds nasty - what is it?
LEINPB01:67 Phew!
LEINRG01:63 Hey Red, dancing dude! It's Pepper waltzing in with your pizza. Character removed from port.
LEINRS01:76 Rob - I got your pizzas here. Character removed from port.
LEINSL01:64 Snap, what are you doing? Character removed from port.
LEINSH01:71 Hi there Steve, how's tricks? Character removed from port.
LEINSM01:58 Hiya Station Master! The train running on time? Character, and indeed, Train, removed from port.
LEINVS04:35 Brick's on. Unused follow on from Valerie Stubbins "Hunger: over." line.
LECSPH01:77 Bill Ding always starts with the foundations. Bill Ding was, again, removed from this port, and doesn't show up while Pepper's house is being built.
LECSPH02:78 Ha ha! Brick by brick, and a house begins to form.
LECSPH03:79 A few home comforts for Pepper, as a home would just be a house without them.
LECSPH04:80 Ha ha, little one! You're just another brick in the wall.
LECSPH05:81 Hey Pepper - you'll have a home in no time. Ground floor almost complete!
LECSPH06:82 I love this job! Building things for the LEGO Islanders is so satisfying.
LECSPH07:83 Lovely! A roof overhead to keep the rain off, and a nice bedroom for sleeping in, of course.
LECSPH08:84 Attention to detail is my middle name. Actually it isn't.
LECSPH09:85 Anyway you now have a bed to sleep in, Pepper, so much more comfortable than the floor.
LECSPH10:86 Bill Ding has almost finished building, just the top floor roof and then we're finished here.
LECSPH11:87 Finished, and that's why they call me Bill Ding!
LEBBPH01:166 Yessssssss!
LEBBPH02:167 He shoots. He scores.
LEBBPH04:168 Bingo!
LEBBPH05:169 Goooooooooal!
LEBBPH06:170 Home run!
LEBBPH07:171 Touch Down!
LEBBPH08:172 Bull's eye!
LEBBPH09:173 Gotcha!
LEBBPH10:174 Heads up!
LEBBPH11:175 Ouch!
LEBBPH12:176 Oooh!
LEBBPM01:177 Oops!
LEBBPM02:178 No problem.
LEBBPM03:179 Not a problem.
LEBBPM04:180 Ready, steady and try again.
LEBBPM05:181 Nice try, Pepper.
LEBBPM06:182 Missed.
LEBBPM07:183 Ha, ha, ha!
LEBBPH13:184 Aha, this is no red herring.
LEBBPH14:185 This Brickster-Bot will provide the phase-adjusted power supply for all the additions I want for the mainframe.
LEBBPH15:186 Good, Papa looks much happier without his Brick-Bot shadows.
LEBBPH16:187 Quick, Pepper! Don't let the red one get away - I suspect it would be very useful for the mainframe.
LEBBPH17:188 Nice work Pepper, I can make a holo projector booster out of this Brick-Bot.
LEBBPH18:189 And that will allow me to communicate with you anywhere you happen to be.
LEBBPH19:190 Oh, this will be useful, Pepper! That Brick-Bot can detect the Constructopedia pages no matter how far away they are.
LEBBPH20:191 Superb, Pepper - you rescued DJ from the clutches of the Brickster-Bots.
LEBBPH21:192 Get the Green Bot, Pepper - it's very important.
LEBBPH22:193 Well done, Pepper, in stopping the mellow yellow Brick-Bot.
LEBBPH23:194 It looks like I can use it to keep track of you - very handy if you have to leave the island.
LEBBPH24:195 Well done Pepper, you've rescued Dr Clickitt. Now click on the Brick-Bot's head.
LEBBPH25:196 Good shooting, Pepper! But watch out for the other one - it knows you're around, and might be a bit more sneaky.
LEBBPH26:197 Use the sauce, Pepper - let go.
LEBBPH27:198 Oh, you got the last Brick-Bot! And just in time - I don't think Darren could have lasted much longer.
LEBBPH28:199 Pepper, your Pizza flinging has given me a great idea for a flying toy, a plastic disk.
LEBBPH29:200 And it would be a little less messy then tomato and cheese.
XXX0A:250 Keeping busy, huh Pepper? Footballer 1, Character removed from port
XXX0A:251 Pepper's pizza makes me dribble. Footballer 2, Character removed from port
XXX0A:252 Save a pizza for me, Pepper! Footballer 3, Character removed from port
XXX0C:271 Better not stop! I think someone's waiting for that pizza.
XXX0C:272 That pizza ain't mine! Better take it to the right person.
XXX0C:273 You need to pass that pizza on correctly.
XXX0A:288 Hi Pepper! Too busy for a kickabout?
XXX1A:289 Anything doing, Pepper?
XXX2A:290 Long time no see.
XXX0C:310 Hear your house is seriously cool!
XXX1C:311 Now Bill Ding's finished your house, I wonder if he will do us a stadium?
XXX2C:312 Hey Pepper, I think I kicked the ball into your garden.
XXX0A:329 What brings you out here, Pepper?
XXX1A:330 Lovely weather today.
XXX2A:331 He shoots, he scores! Yaaaaay!
XXX2B:332 Oh hi, Pepper!
XXX0C:347 The Pizzeria is over there.
XXX1C:348 Perfect time for a pizza, and I think someone's waiting for theirs.
XXX2C:349 It's a longshot but I think you need to be at the Pizzeria.
XXX0A:365 Taking the scenic route, Pepper?
XXX1A:366 Every time I commit a foul, Pepper's watching.
XXX2A:367 Poor Pepper, always delivering pizza.
XXX0C:384 Get that pizza to the jail before it goes cold!
XXX1C:385 Stop watching me, Pepper, and get down to the jail!
XXX2C:386 We didn't order, so that pizza must be for the jail!
XXX0A:401 Pepper, be careful.
XXX1A:402 We may not look like we care but Pepper, we do. So be careful!
XXX2A:403 I don't like this minimalist Island style.
XXX0C:419 Don't rip any of the pages, dude!
XXX1C:420 We haven't seen any of the pages here.
XXX2C:421 So get those pages back ASAP!
XXX0A:439 Never fear, Pepper is here.
XXX1A:440 A Pepper in time saves nine.
XXX2A:441 You cleared those pages up real quick.
XXX0C:457 Protect us from the Brickster-Bots.
XXX1C:458 That's not quite right as there's ten Brickster-Bots.
XXX2C:459 Now there's just the Brickster-Bots left, and one has my ball!
XXX0A:474 Pepper's here to save the day!
XXX1A:475 Pepper's a regular little hero!
XXX2A:476 Pepper beats the Brickster-Bots ten nil.
XXX0C:491 Though you need to be at the Information Centre to save the day.
XXX1C:492 And heroics are required at the Information Centre right now.
XXX2C:493 The Infomaniac's at the Information Centre waiting for extra time.
XXX0A:507 Hi Pepper, guess there's more to do.
XXX1A:508 Hey Pepper, when do you get to relax?
XXX2A:509 You can join our team anytime, Pepper.
XXX0C:523 At the Res-Q HQ!
XXX1C:524 Probably not for a long time, as the Res-Q HQ is calling.
XXX2C:525 But the Res-Q team needs you right now at the Res-Q HQ!
XXX0A:642 Almost back to normal, Pepper.
XXX1A:643 Pizza man, Pizza man, can do anything a pizza can.
XXX2A:644 Fancy a game sometime, Pepper?
XXX0C:657 Nick needs you at the Police Station.
XXX1C:658 You need to deliver yourself to the Police Station.
XXX2C:659 After you've seen Nick at the Police Station.
XXX0A:675 Pepper defending us well again.
XXX1A:676 Over here Pepper, on my head!
XXX2A:677 Looking good, Pepper.
XXX0C:691 The Radio Station's the place to be.
XXX1C:692 Now get yourself over to the Radio Station.
XXX2C:693 And, to sound good, visit the Radio Station for sounds.
XXX0A:708 Groovy tunes, Pepper.
XXX1A:709 Cool dancing buddies there, Pepper.
XXX2A:710 Do you do requests, Pepper?
XXX0C:723 Nick wants to you to groove down at the Police Station.
XXX1C:724 They need to go to the Police Station to be dealt with.
XXX2C:725 I request you take them down to the Police Station.
XXX0A:742 Have they finished with you yet, Pepper?
XXX1A:743 Are you getting enough exercise, Pepper?
XXX2A:744 Good to see you Pepper, pop over again sometime.
XXX0C:758 No, they only want to fire you into space at the Space Port.
XXX1C:759 You need to be fit if the Space Port wants to train you as an astronaut.
XXX2C:760 After you've done whatever it is the Space Port wants you for.
XXX0A:779 I guess the Brickster was no match for you, Pepper.
XXX1A:780 Pepper's back and he's saved us all, hooray!
XXX2A:781 You tackled that very well, Pepper.
XXX0C:797 LEGO Island won't be the same without you, so don't go.
XXX1C:798 Now you can kick back and enjoy yourself here on the Island.
XXX2C:799 Don't be a stranger, Pepper, and pop back to the Island often.

Castle Island

Hmmm...
To do:
Add voice clip for phrase CACSBR11:17 since it differs from the subtitles.
Phrase String Notes
CACSBR08:14 Please accept this odd page thing that the Brickster dropped as a token of our thanks! You don't get a page for completing this sub game, so this line, and the accompanying ones, are unused.
CACSBR09:15 Whoa, a Constructopedia page!
CACSBR10:16 I need that, thanks!
CACSBR11:17 Hooray, Pepper, Pepper! Now let's fight! Though this subtitle does display, the voice clip for it differs. See Todo.
CACSLP12:52 Sign me up, I'll do it! This line is placed just after Pepper talks about how he's never jousted before.
CACSCS08:70 Aha, almost got it! Placed after the knight talks about the dark knight having a cold, or something.
CAVLC:143 Will you charge for repairing the bridge? May be a removed or dummied out character.
CAVLC:174 Now I must divide and conquer
LSD1C:141 If only we could hack into the game. This rather on the nose comment isn't said by any of the knights, and is repeated several times, so may be a clever error handler. That said, the knights on the other side of the bridge don't use it if you hack your way over there.
LSD3C:144 If only we could hack into the game.
LAR3C:146 If only we could hack into the game.
CAVLC:214 My horse can jump higher than a house. May be a removed or dummied out character.
CAVLC:214 Tricked you, houses can't jump!
BSD2C:218 Like a tennis ball if you're not careful!
BSD4C:227 Like a tennis ball if you're not careful!
DRKKC:219 He's got two left feet. Hmphhhh.
CAVLA:234 It has taken me years of training to be a match for the Dark Knight.
CAVLC:255 If you defeat the Dark Knight I will forever be at your service.
UNUSED:260 How long's a piece of string? Curiously, this line seems to have been intended to remain unused from the start.
UNUSED:270 How long's a piece of string?
BGRDA:282 Sorry Pepper. You cannot enter.
BGRDA:326 I'm sorry, Pepper, Cedric will accept no visitors.
BGRDC:346 No entry, I'm afraid.

OGCSSD07:6 Well... it seems the Brickster has stolen the landing gear, and there's no other way but to jump!
OGCSSD08:7 OK, Bob. Good job I did that parachute training, huh?

Fishing

This minigame was scrapped entirely from this port.

Phrase String Notes
HOLOA:209 Good work, Pepper - go and talk to the Fisherman. I think you can help each other.
ADCSOA01:67 Hey, Sonny.
ADCSOA02:68 The name's Pepper, Pops.
ADCSOA03:69 My name's The Old Fisherman, sonny.
ADCSOA04:70 I'll bet you're here 'cause you're lookin' for a page. This subtitle has an erroneous space at the start in the files.
ADCSOA05:71 How did you know?
ADCSOA06:72 I've played this game before.
ADCSOA07:73 You see, that big ol' fish at the bottom of the Oasis ate it up.
ADCSOA08:74 Yup, Big Bertha ate it up real good.
ADCSOA09:75 Ate it up like a sandwich, she did.
ADCSOA10:76 Gulp, gulp, gone!
ADCSOA13:77 Well I figured you could use the page, so I fished it out with my pole.
ADCSOA14:78 Here Pepper, here's the next page!
ADCSFB01:79 Hoo-ray, I got it - the page!
ADCSFB02:80 And you also got Big Bertha, that makes you a champion fisherman around these parts!
ADCSFB03:81 The page is my real reward, Old Fisherman, but thanks! Gotta go!
ADCSFB04:82 Wait, I was going to make fish cakes.
ADCSFB05:83 Er, gotta go, bye!
ADSGFI01:117 Wow, finished already! I blinked and missed it, and there isn't an action replay. Many of the next lines do not have the customary double space before the string, which, if the Infomation Center Database's 'Ego Island' is anything to go by, might have lead to every first letter failing to display. It's possible, then, that this subgame didn't go very far at all before being scrapped.
ADSGFI02:118 Give a man a fish and he won't go hungry today, teach a man to fish and he will never go hungry.
ADSGFI03:119 Looks like you will never go hungry, Pepper.
ADSGFI04:120 Tricky fish; that Bertha, but you outsmarted her in the end.
ADSGFI05:121 Ah the delights of fishing, you can sit around all day.

ADSGFI10:126 No, I'm a minnow really! Throw me back in. Please!
ADSGFI11:127 Ooh, that's a Barb; quite rare, so you better put it back.
ADSGFI12:128 Impressive! catfishes are bottom dwellers - needs a bit o' work to hook them.
ADSGFI13:129 A little lungfish - it can breathe out of water, but I think it wants to go back now.
