So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?
Careful, you'll lose an eye.
This page or section needs more images.
There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this.

A somewhat middling beat-em-up based on the famous action manga Fist of the North Star. Even though the manga had become incredibly popular in the west since Sega's previous effort with the series, with the second Famicom game even seeing a proper release in the west half a year earlier, Sega still chose to strip the game of its license in localization as they did with Black Belt... in a very sloppy way that is, since unlike that game none of the graphics were redrawn, meaning you're still obviously playing as Kenshiro!

Credits

In the Japanese version, credits are shown during the character slideshow. In the international versions, the credits were removed.

Miscellaneous

  • Some characters and enemies have different palettes in the international versions.
  • The Japanese version contains blood and head explosions. The international versions colored the blood blue or green, and simply had enemies fly off when punched rather than exploding.
