LittleBigPlanet 3 (PlayStation 3)/Unused Audio

From The Cutting Room Floor
Jump to navigation Jump to search

This is a sub-page of LittleBigPlanet 3 (PlayStation 3).

This cactus is UNDER CONSTRUCTION
This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
Hmmm...
To do:
There's a lot of dialogue from the main Adventure Mode and the Journey Home DLC that still needs to be added here.

Unused Sound Effects

e3_rocket.wav

e3_rocket.wav is a sound effect of a rocket powering up and failing. As its filename suggests, this was used in the E3 version of Race to the Stars when Big Toggle weighs down the rocket in the end level cutscene. In the final version of the level, the rocket takes off regardless of what form Toggle is in, rendering this sound effect unused. The end of this sound was later used in Sackboy: A Big Adventure when the Pod lands on the world map. Its internal reference path is /lbp3/sfx/spots/sci-fi/e3_rocket.

ap_interface

Present in gamedata/audio/lbp3_sfx_spots.fsb are 9 sound effects labelled ap_interface (ap standing for adventureplanet, an internal name for the game's Adventure Maps). ap_interface7 and ap_interface9 are nowhere to be found.

gamekit_piece_invalid_02.wav

enemy_place

Sound effects related to placing enemies. While these were used in the Private Beta and could be found under the "Robots" category in the Sound Object, they were left out of the final game.

enemy_place_01.wav /lbp3/sfx/gameplay/gamekit/rollerball/rollerball_enemy_place
enemy_place_02.wav

rusk_jump

A handful of sound effects related to a removed character named Rusk can be found within gamedata/audio/lbp3_sfx_spots.fsb. These sound effects would've been used whenever Rusk jumped.

news_feed_speaker

Sound effects associated with a news feed speaker model from the Pod. While these sound effects were used when the game first launched, a UI overhaul in Game Update 1.22 rendered both the speaker and these sound effects obsolete, and thus unused. The sound effects can be found in both gamedata/audio/lbp3_sfx_spots.fsb and gamedata/audio/hub_sfx_spots.fsb.

El Jeff Gibberish Voices

Found in gamedata/audio/lbp3_gibberish.fsb are four unused gibberish voices for El Jeff in the game's files. It is unknown why these were removed, as it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for a side quest character to have gibberish voices (since a lot of those characters do).

Audio Usage Internal Reference Path

El Jeff Emotivox Sounds

In addition to the aforementioned gibberish voices, El Jeff has a complete range of unused emotivox sounds in gamedata/audio/lbp3_emotivox.fsb.

Unused Ambient Loops

gamedata/audio/lbp3_streaming.fsb contains a handful of ambient loops in .mp3 format that are never used anywhere.

amb_adventure_planet.mp3

amb_adventure_planet.mp3 is a long ambient loop, possibly intended to play whilst orbiting an early version of Bunkum. Its internal reference path is /lbp3/music/ambiences/amb_adventure_planet.

popit_planet.mp3

popit_planet.mp3 was most likely intended to accompany the Popit Puzzle planet, as the audio syncs up with the planet's animation. It is called in-game using the path /lbp3/music/ambiences/planet_views/amb_popit_planet_view.

story_planet_amb.mp3

story_planet_amb.mp3, similar to popit_planet.mp3, was most likely meant to play whilst orbiting Bunkum, as the audio syncs up with the planet's animation. It is called using the path /lbp3/music/ambiences/planet_views/amb_adventure_planet_view.

Unused Dialogue

A ton of unused dialogue exists in the game's data, ranging from alternate takes of used lines to lines that are never heard at all.

Narrator

Audio Subtitle Intended Level Context/Notes
Oh, I see youʼve found the Pause Menu. Clever you. A quick bit of advice, however; when youʼre in the middle of a world saving adventure Iʼm sure youʼd prefer it if you didnʼt have to start again from the beginning when something more urgent raises itʼs head. Thatʼs when the ʻSave and Return to Podʼ option should be employed. By selecting this, your adventure will be saved and youʼll be whisked to your Pod, progress intact and ready for when you are. Oh, whatʼs a POD, I hear you ask? Well Iʼll explain that when you get there...

N/A

Explains a removed "Save and Return to Pod" feature. Most likely would have played when the player first opens the Pause Menu in an Adventure.
Oh, I see youʼve found the Pause Menu. Clever you. A quick bit of advice, however; when youʼre in the middle of a world saving adventure Iʼm sure youʼd prefer it if you didn't have to start again from the beginning when something more urgent raises itʼs head. That's when the ʻSave and Quitʼ option should be employed. By selecting this, your adventure will be saved and youʼll be whisked to your Pod, progress intact and ready for when you are. Oh, whatʼs a POD, I hear you ask? Well Iʼll explain that when you get there... Ditto, but "Save and Return to Pod" is shortened to "Save and Quit".
Oh! Welcome back. We didn't expect to see you so soon if we're completely honest. Why not head back into the ADVENTURE while we work diligently behind the scenes to make sure everything is ship shape and tickety boo for your return? What we've got in store is going to blow your socks off. Off you hop!

The Pod

Most likely would have been used if the player managed to enter the Pod before finishing the Prologue. Since all profiles created after Game Update 1.22 start the player in the Pod instead of the Introduction level, this line of dialogue is redundant. Even before the update, if the player somehow reaches the Pod before finishing the Prologue, the standard Pod Introduction speech plays instead.

Newton

Audio File Subtitle Intended Level Context/Notes
Now... to put father's device to the test! Introduction Part of an early draft of the Introduction's script. Similar lines are uttered in the Private Beta's Introduction level, albeit without proper voice acting, so these are most likely leftover from that.
Oh, label your levers Daddy!
Gaahh! Abort! Abort!
Oh... That's what that means.
...AHA! Daddy's a genius!
(SELF CONSCIOUS CHUCKLE) Part of another early iteration of the Introduction level.
Just a flick of this switch. Newton preparing to flip a switch.
Oh - maybe it's this one. Newton flipping the wrong switch, and trying another one.
A yank of this lever! And... Newton preparing to pull a false lever.
Ah - if only those instructions weren't so complicated! Newton complaining about how complicated the instructions are.
Ow! Purpose unknown.
Oh, wonderful day! The Legend of Bunkum Alternate line of dialogue intended to play when Sackboy lands on Bunkum.
With their vim... Alternate line of dialogue that would have been used in place of "With their speed!"
And their vigour... Alternate line of dialogue that would have been used in place of "With their power..."
And their vinegar? Alternate line of dialogue that would have been used in place of "With their grace!"
Two chums on a grand adventure. Come on, I'll explain on the way. Probably would've played after Newton's exposition.
Aaaaaaaaagh! Purpose unknown.
But first things first. Needlepoint Peaks Intended to lead into dialogue explaining how to control Sackboy.
Make your way down the mountain using the LEFT STICK. Teaches the player how to move Sackboy. Since this is already explained in the Introduction level, this was likely deemed redundant by the developers, thus being left unused.
Press the ACTION BUTTON to jump! The longer you hold it, the higher you'll hop. Tells the player how to jump. Since this is already explained in the Introduction level, this was likely deemed redundant by the developers.
That's it - just go doolally! Given how these are numbered in relation to other bits of dialogue intended for Needlepoint Peaks, these likely would have been used during the Layer Launcher tutorial.
Soar like a kipper leaping up-stream!
Marvellous stuff! You've taken to this like a fish to chips. Given the filename's numbering in relation to other bits of dialogue, this likely would've been used after learning how to grab objects.
HOWZAT! Now - let's not shilly-shally aound here. My airship awaits! Alternate dialogue for the end of the level where Sackboy is taken to Newton's Airship.
Oh goody - televisual aids! Newton's Airship Likely would have been used when the tutorial TV for placing Stickers activated.
Who is that chap? He sounds frightfully clever. Likes the sound of his own voice though... Likely would have been used while a tutorial video plays, suggesting Newton would've talked over some of the tutorials.
Where did that come from? Press the button if you dare! Possibly would have been used for a tutorial video that required pressing a button to activate. The only tutorial TV that requires a button to activate is the one for the PlayStation Eye Camera, though Newton doesn't say anything relating to it.
Well I hope you understood that because I certainly didn't. Likely would have played after one of the tutorial videos ended.
This is our true goal: the Tea Tin that houses the evil Titans, it's a Titan Tea Tin. Alternate line of dialogue that would have played after placing the last sticker on the mission board.
Come shipmate, Bunkum's fate depends upon us! Generic motivational dialogue.
I don't have three friends myself, but, I imagine if I did...i-i-i-i...it would be fun to have them... oh, nevermind... Would have played after Newton explained how the multiplayer puzzles worked.
Me? Oh, I'll be right behind you. The Gates of Stitchem Manor Alternate line of dialogue that would've been used before Newton left Sackboy to enter Stitchem Manor.
Come Titans - lets go and make Bunkum a creative paradise for all! A Night On The Tiles Alternate line of dialogue that would've been used before the Titans took control of Newton.
Mother. Likely would've played after Newton said farewell to Sackboy, given the filename's numbering in relation to other lines of dialogue.
HAHAHAHA! Affairs of the Heart! On top of everything else, I'm extremely funny. Newton's Short Stand Up Career Most likely would have played while Newton was making his exit.
That's it! I'm bored! You're through! Cloud Caravan The purpose of this line is unknown, though it sounds as though it may have been used towards the end of the level.
No! No! No! Don't press that. The Great Escape Presumably would have played when a character reached the battery at the end of their section.
You're all too old and doddery to be out and about. Give up already! Three taunts that were likely meant to play throughout the level, but don't.
Bunkum was so boring before the Titans were released. I've really done everyone a huge favour.
As Mumsy would say; 'sling yer 'ook yer 'orrible blighters'.
What... what's happening? Am I dreaming? Newton's Bulb Explored Three lines of dialogue that would've preceded the conversation between Newton and his inner demon.
I'll tell you what's happening... You're making a fool of yourself is what's happening!
What... what do you mean?!
Eeeeee! Even Bosses Wear Hats Sometimes... Newton panicking, likely intended for Sackboy's section of the level.
Aiee!
Hurry!
This isn't how I saw it ending! Five lines from a distressed Newton, most likely intended to play during OddSock's section.
I don't want to meet my demise in a dinghy... Oh, how embarrassing...
Not like this! Not like this!
I'm so glad Papa can't see me like this.
PAPA!
I meant me by the way... Four Chums Head To Craftworld Most likely intended for when Newton and company are free falling. In early prototypes, this line is preceded by Newton exclaiming "Oh Bunkum, do not pine for your beloved creative genius!", and this line appears to be a leftover from that.
…and then Papa, I approached the third Titan fearlessly. I ably navigated the belly of the beast, before planting an explosive device deep in its gullet. On a mighty vessel, I rode the waves upon the tide of legend to freedom. And that, Papa, is how I rescued my comrades and became Bunkum's saviour! While this line of dialogue is used, it only plays for about 10 seconds before being cut off by Stephen Fry's narration, so you'd never hear the last 11 seconds of Newton's tall tale. The parts that are never heard normally are highlighted in bold.

Nana Pud

Despite only speaking in the Prologue and Manglewood Swamp's hub level, Nana Pud has a surprising amount of unused dialogue; she has 46 unused lines in Stichem Manor alone, and another 8 on top of that for a cutscene and Manglewood's hub.

Audio File Subtitle Intended Level
Who's there? Stitchem Manor
What are you doing in my house?
I'm watching you!
I'm still watching...
I see you...
Come to Nana...
Fur balls away!
Get away!
I've laddered my stockings!
If you can't stand the heat...
My hair's getting wet!
Are you here with him?
Agggh!
What are you doing down there?
I don't remember inviting you in...
Get out'a my house you grubby little urchin!
I think it's time for you to leave!
I'll give you one more chance - get out of my house before it's too late!
You shouldn't meddle with what you don't understand.
Tonight's the night - I can feel it.
I always knew this night would come!
Walls have eyes in Stitchem Manor
I'm watching you
Darkness is coming to this world - I can feel it in me bones!
You've gone far enough!
Get your grubby mitts off my stuff
Oi - that was worth 100 Collectabells!
Stop looking at my nick nacks!
Who turned off the lights?
Stay still you little tea leaf!
Turn back while you still can - this is no place for the likes of you!
Ooh, you rotter!
Those are my best saucepans!
That's for breaking my best china!
You little hooligan!
How could you?
Stop that!
Nooo!
Crafty little blighter!
Clear off, you'll never get your hands on them Titans!
If only Captain Pud were here, he'd put a stop to this.
This'll stop yer!
You aint never gettin' to that Tea Tin!
This'll teach yer for breakin' into me house.
Hahahahahaha!
You'll think twice about picking on an old lady again!
No, no! You leave the Tea Tin alone! A Night On The Tiles
Not another one of Newty's hair-brained schemes!
Poor Newty - he never did no one no harm. He dun't know no better. You've got to save him, from himself, and on the way you'll save Bunkum too. 'ere - take this - it'll help you keep track of your adventure.
Just track the Quest and we can get out of 'ere...
If you're gonna stop the Titans, you're gunna need the help of Bunkum's Heroes. Come on, Marlon Random will know what to do...
So this is Manglewood... This filthy swamp is filled with things to do. Find Marlon and he'll tell you what's what. Manglewood Swamp
Go on - scram!
Ooh, he could talk the hind legs off a donkey.

Marlon Random

Audio File Subtitle Intended Level Context/Notes
Ooh, an action scene! Take out the baddie by stomping his brain. STOMP IT! Unknown A tutorial for how to defeat enemies. Possibly intended for the level Shake, Rattle & Roll, given the filename's numbering in relation to other lines of dialogue.
Hey kid; this is a Collectabell dispenser. The higher your score, the more Collectabells you'll get! Marlon Random explaining Collectabell dispensers to the player. In early builds of the game, the main levels dispensed Collectabells at the end based on your score. This line goes unused because none of the main levels in the final game have Collectabell dispensers...or Collectabells in general, for that matter.
Kid, they're gonna catch us! Get out your Blink Ball! High Stakes Heist Likely would have played if the player remained idle in the Blink Ball tutorial.
Alright! Now, open your SACKPOCKET by holding the BACK BUTTON. Alternate tutorial dialogue explaining an early version of the Sackpocket interface.
Highlight the BLINK BALL with the LEFT STICK and release the BACK BUTTON.
I'd love to come with you kid. But it's not fair of me to risk upsetting the people of Bunkum by putting my own life at risk. Don't worry - I'll be fine. You - not so much Marlon Random explaining why he can't continue through the rest of the level. Similar lines are used in the Private Beta, so these are most likely leftovers from that.
You'll be fine, just remember what I taught you!
Take it from the top. One more time. With feeling! Shake, Rattle & Roll Most likely intended for the second Velociporter tutorial that talks about momentum preservation.
Almost there!
An elevator that runs on milkshake. Go figure. Most likely intended to play when the lift breaks down. Different dialogue plays instead.
We gotta make the milkshake flow again!
I'll scout out the location, kiddo. Purpose unknown.
This aint an improv, kiddo, we gotta stay on script!
I'll just pop open the ol' airlooOOOAAHH! Deep Space Drive-in Would have played upon Marlon opening the airlock.
Back in the day, we'd perform behind a chicken wire barricade to protect us from projectiles just like those. Likely would've played upon encountering the first set of turrets in the level.
Alright Cloth Kid, you did it! Four Chums Head To Craftworld At one point in development, Marlon Random was meant to appear in the final cutscene, most likely when Manglewood was shown. He doesn't actually appear in the cutscene though, so these three voice clips go unused. Similar voice clips also exist for Papal Mache and Pinky Buflooms, suggesting they were meant to appear as well.
It's time for ol' Marlon Random to make a comeback!
I always did want to make a sequel to Pinballs in the Mist.

High Stakes Heist Mobsters

The mobsters from the level High Stakes Heist have unused dialogue. Some of these lines have logic set up to play them, but their logic is below a death plane, so they're impossible to hear normally.

Audio File Subtitle Character
Get those lights on, we needs to find 'em! Head Guard
This'll stop ya! He, he, he... Dead! Guard 1
Ain't nobody getting by these keen eyes.
Gotta find the intruders or it'll be curtains for me!
Them dirty rats got some nerve showing their faces here!
Aiee! Guard 2
Nowhere to run!
Argh, these pesky cards ar' gettin' in the way!
Huh, the boss don't like uninvited guests snooping around.
The Boss is gonna be awful mad if we don't find them intruders.
They don't know who they're messin' with!

Papal Mache

Audio File Subtitle Intended Level Context/Notes
This was once our most beautiful landscape, now it is nothing but wasteland filled with fire and bears. And maybe chicken. Furry Soles, Hot Coals Likely intended for an early version of the level's intro cutscene.
The Marble is somewhere out there. The exact location has left my mind forever. But legend speaks of a great shelter. Maybe it is there!
You cannot survive the furnace alone! You should find yourself a Yeti as soon as possible!
Be careful of strong winds too! Even fattest Yeti cannot fight them. Tutorial dialogue warning the player about wind hazards. In the final level, there are no wind hazards that push the player into the fire pit, so these lines go unused.
Beware wind that blow Yeti onto hot coals and singe furry bottom.
There it goes! Chase it! Don't let it get away! Flip-Flopped Folios Papal Mache telling the player to chase the Marble through the level.
Ah, no! Not amusing. I remember now, we are here for Marble! Come... Marble this way. Probably. Based on the filename's numbering, this probably would have played after Papal Mache talks about the sections with reversed gravity.
Hahaha! Yes! Yes! Four Chums Head To Craftworld Papal Mache was supposed to appear in the final cutscene alongside Marlon Random and Pinky Buflooms, as evidence by these unused voice clips. Like Marlon and Pinky though, he never actually appears in the cutscene, so these voice clips go unused.
No more big hairy brain turkey! Hahahahahaha!
Ziggurat back to top of charts! Hahahahahahaha!

Vera Oblonsky

Vera Oblonsky has a handful of cut lines which suggest that a Level Link to one of the game's Popit Puzzles was meant to appear in the Adventure Mode. In the final game, she only hosts a Level Link that leads to a random Team Picked level, and there are no Level Links in the Adventure that take the player to any of the Popit Puzzles, so these lines go unused.

Audio Subtitle Intended Level
Inside you will find the knowledge to unravel the very essence of the Imagisphere. You may then bend it to your will to create masterpieces inumerable. Ziggurat Grand Hall
These Popit Puzzles will bestow you with great power. Use it responsibly.
To understand the power of the Popit requires a creative mind and a big heart.
Enter the Popit Puzzle knowing little. Exit knowing a lot. Bend the Imagisphere to your will and create wonders that I will no doubt have to add to my map.
Can your keen mind solve the puzzles within? Standing there will not answer the question.
Through these doors lie the amazing Popit Puzzles. One of the very first things I added to my map of the Imagisphere. Inside lay the key to learning its intricacies in a fun, non-threatening manner.
If you enter you will return with the knowledge to make your own creations, adding to the wonderplane, making my task of exploring its vastness even more trying. Do not let my woe discourage you. Enter. Enter!

Pinky Buflooms

Audio File Subtitle Intended Level Context/Notes
To fly, tap or hold the ACTION BUTTON. Cloud Caravan Alternate tutorial dialogue explaining how to fly as Swoop. It's unknown why these aren't used, since it isn't out of the ordinary for a character to reiterate what to do if the player remains idle for long enough.
Hold the ACTION BUTTON to fly. Come on, what's stopping you?
Hold R1 to swoop. You can steer with the LEFT STICK. Alternate tutorial dialogue explaining Swoop's swooping mechanic. Unlike the flying tutorial, the swooping tutorial does reiterate what to do if the player remains idle. Of the seven lines recorded for the tutorial, only four of them are actually used in the level, leaving these three unused.
Swooping is so elegant! Just press and hold R1 when flying to do it.
When you need to fly through danger at high speeds, just press and hold R1 then push the LEFT STICK in the direction you want to travel.
Quick! Get inside! The Heroes FINALLY Defeat Newton... Oh Likely would have played after the doors to Newton's lair fell down. Pinky Buflooms never appears in this cutscene though, so this line goes unused.
Think happy thoughts… think happy thoughts… Four Chums Head To Craftworld Pinky Buflooms was originally meant to appear in the final cutscene, as evidenced by these lines of dialogue. She doesn't actually appear in the cutscene though, so her dialogue for it goes unused.
I suppose now... I must let him live.
Aaah - my broken heart has been mended!

Captain Pud

Audio File Subtitle Intended Level Context/Notes
Newton! Four Chums Head To Craftworld Alternate versions of Captain Pud exclaiming "Newton!" that never get used.
Hold on tight me hearties! We're going up. Captain Pud telling Sackboy and company to hold on tight. It's unclear whether this was meant to be played when Captain Pud's ship first appears or when they're flying past the Creative Heart.
Thank you… for saving this planet and this errant child of mine. Alternate line of dialogue where Captain Pud thanks Sackboy and company for saving Bunkum and Newton from the Titans.

Larry Da Vinci

Audio File Subtitle Intended Level Context/Notes
Terrific work, Sackthing! Popit Cursor Generic congratulatory lines. Note that as some of Da Vinci's used congratulatory messages were reused throughout Popit Academy: Term 1, it's possible that these were intended to be used in other Popit Puzzles besides the one for the Popit Cursor.
You make this look like, er, whatnot play. Y'know, erm...what's the word? Erm, chives! That's it. Chives play.
Oh, well done! Well done indeed!
Marvellous! You're doing wondefully!
What ho! Wonderful work!
Magnificent! You're a natural, so you are! Yes!
Well now, how frightfully rude! Let's try not to let that happen again, eh? Four lines that suggest that at one point, you were able to kill Larry Da Vinci in the Popit Puzzles. The only level in the final game where it's possible to "kill" Da Vinci is Stamping Materials, and even then no dialogue is played when he dies.
I'm not going to take that personally, but it does hurt just a tad, do try and be more careful, eh?
(CHUCKLES) Accidents do happen, I suppose. (SERIOUS) Do pay attention, Sack-Thing.
You can rewind this terrible mistake by pressing the LEFT BUTTON. And then UNPAUSE using the UP button.
Don't forget, if you've fluffed it up you can REWIND using the LEFT BUTTON. Jolly useful, that. Da Vinci reminding the player to undo if they make a mistake. These sound as though they were general purpose lines intended to be recycled across multiple levels. The only levels in Popit Academy: Term 1 that prompt the player to undo are Danger Tools and Bolts, but those use different lines instead.
Make mistakes disappear using the REWIND feature. It's the LEFT BUTTON, if you've forgotten.
Don't forget you can REWIND using the LEFT BUTTON, Sackthing.
Sack Thing, you make my heart sing! Stamping Materials More congratulatory messages.
Look at that! You'll soon be a material master.
First class corner editing! You're a natural. Corner Editing Da Vinci congratulating the player on their corner editing skills.
Remember, we don't care too much for the accepted laws of physics up here so if you don't want your object to be bothered by gravity whilst you're editing, use PAUSE mode by pressing the UP BUTTON. Bolts Da Vinci reminding the player how to make objects Static.
Neatly done, Sack Thing! Even more congratulations.
That's the ticket my fine Sack Thing!
You really are the cat's whiskers at this, woolly one!
To play is to learn, Sack Thing, to play is to learn! Connectors Most likely would have played after Da Vinci tells the player to mess around with the Spring connector's length and strength tweaks.
You're now ready for term two! I understand that Term 2ʼs professor there is quite the cupcake, haha! This was most likely intended to be played after the graduation photo is taken at the end of the level.
Long, long ago, nearly three hours now, the planet Bunkum was saved from disaster. The misguided Newton, enslaved by a trio of evil Titans, was… erm... un-enslaved by four courageous heroes. Free of wickedness at last, Newton sent his saviours to Craftworld, where we humble non-legendary types prepare to greet them... From Cakes to Chaos Alternate take of Da Vinci's narration from the start of the cutscene, where "prepare to welcome them home" is replaced with "prepare to greet them".
Sackthing? Hey! Ho! Slow down! Alternate takes of used lines, where Sackboy is referred to as "Sackthing" instead.
WELCOME BACK, SACKTHING! AND YOU THREE, IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU!
Oof… I'm too old for this stuff… Alternate line intended for when Da Vinci lands on a pile of bones.
Toggle, find Frida. Swoop, get to Clive's factory! OddSock! Search the Gardens! And you, Sackthing - with me! We'll meet up at the party! Another alternate take of a used line, except "Sackboy" is replaced with "Sackthing".
Sackboy, come with me. You three, get hunting! We'll meet up at the party! A shortened version of Da Vinci telling OddSock, Toggle and Swoop to search for the lost invitations. Because Sackboy is referenced in this line, a second version also exists that calls him "Sackthing" instead.
Sackthing, come with me. You three, get hunting! We'll meet up at the party!
Whoever sent you back here wasn't very bright, eh? Another alternate take of a used line. Da Vinci sounds noticeably different compared to all of the used lines.
Aauugggghh!! Bone-a-Fide Ride Yet another alternate take of a used line.
Wow, look at all that! You're going to be busy! Purpose unknown.

Victoria von Bathysphere

Audio File Subtitle Intended Level Context/Notes
Oh ho ho ho ho, you know how to impress, Sack Thing. Popit Academy (General) Congratulatory lines meant to be used throughout Popit Academy: Term 2.
Your appetising greatness is making it harder to congratulate you, my muffin.
Deary me, it looks like you've won me over again.
You mind sharing the recipe for your oven-fresh excellence, Sack Thing?
If you make a pudding out of your pie, just REWIND by pressing the LEFT BUTTON. Victoria prompting the player to undo. The only time undoing is brought up in the entirety of Term 2 is in the Sackbots level, and that uses a different line instead.
Made a mistake? No problem! Press the LEFT BUTTON to REWIND.
Remember how to REWIND? Just press the LEFT BUTTON. Easy, isn't it?
Flattened like a poorly time soufle. Similar to Da Vinci, Victoria has four lines of dialogue that suggest that you were able to kill her at one point. Unlike Term 1, however, none of the levels in Term 2 have areas designed to detect if Victoria dies, so these go unused.
I like pancakes but I don't much care for being one, ouch!
It's a rule that we don't pop the Popit Professor, Sack Thing. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.
Not to worry my little dumpling, rewind using the LEFT BUTTON and all will be forgotten.

Frida the Bride

Audio File Subtitle Intended Level Context/Notes
You're off to the party, I suppose? Well, I'm still putting my face on. Make-up, I mean. Not skin. Bone-a-Fide Ride Flavour text that was most likely intended to play at the start of the level if the player remained idle for long enough.
You're just as chatty as Sackthing, I see. Come on, get to the party! Alternate take of a used line, where Frida calls Sackboy "Sackthing".
Yeeeahhh!! Most likely intended to play after the Skulldozer smashes through the wall at the end of the level.
This remote-controlled Toggle-bot needs a pack of pilots. I'd help, but I'm terrified of robots. Multiplayer Race: Think in Sync Another alternate take of a used line.
Pick your stations and control him together! Frida telling the players to enter the Controlinators. Likely would have played if the players remained idle for too long.
You're each in charge of different buttons, so pay attention! Even more alternate takes of used lines.
Score big to send off one of those lost party invitations!
Top marks! That's one invitation sent off. Can't wait to see some synchronised dance moves at that party!
Whoooaaaa!! Spring Time in the Gardens Three of Frida's audio files are grouped with the dialogue for Spring Time in the Gardens, even though she never actually appears in that level.
Haven't been to a party since our wedding! I'll try to behave myself.

Clive Handforth

Audio File Subtitle Intended Level Context/Notes
How do they get any work done with all this sunlight? Spring Time in the Gardens A couple of Clive's lines are grouped with the dialogue for Spring Time in the Gardens, suggesting he was meant to appear in that level at one point.
Waaaaggh!!

The King

Audio File Subtitle Intended Level Context/Notes
<Gibberish ending in an "Oof!" or "Oh!"> Spring Time in the Gardens Intended for an extended version of the Springinator's introduction. These lines serve both an homage to the King's gibberish voice from the first game, and as an explanation for why he can now speak fluent English.
<Gibberish> ...Oh! Oh. Right. Sorry about that. Haha!
<Gibberish> …Oh, right! Ho ho! Sorry about that!
Oh, goodness me! I've had that lemon drop caught in my throat for years!
KIIINNNNGGGG!!!! Alternate takes of a used line that plays when the King jumps on the ghost towards the end of the level.
Back again, eh? You must love bouncing as much as I love animal-shaped cheese crackers! Ho ho! Yet another alternate take of a used line.

Found in various places in the game's data are audio files taken from the cancelled LittleBigPlanet HUB, including sound effects and narrator dialogue.

Sound Effects

Added in Game Update 1.14, gamedata/audio/hub_sfx_spots.fsb contains a variety of sounds that were intended for LittleBigPlanet HUB.
