1. Input Test

MagicalTetrisN64-debugmenu1.png

This will be the first screen you come to when entering the test menu. This will display currently pressed buttons. To exit, press Start + A.

2. Output Test

MagicalTetrisN64-debugmenu2.png

This would have tested the physical coin lockout mechanisms and play counter present in the arcade cabinet. No longer functional for obvious reasons.

3. Sound and Voice

MagicalTetrisN64-debugmenu3.png

A sound test option. This allows you to play all music and SFX here.

4. Color Test

MagicalTetrisN64-debugmenu4.png

A screen test. Has no other functionality.

5. Dot Cross Hatch

MagicalTetrisN64-debugmenu5.png

Another screen test. Has no other functionality.

6. Game Data

MagicalTetrisN64-debugmenu6.png

This would have displayed the number of plays via the three credit methods (coins, the service button, or free play mode) in the arcade version. No longer functional, likely due to the absence of EEPROM backup that was present on the arcade board.

7. Configuration Menu

MagicalTetrisN64-debugmenu7.png

Various options can be toggled in this menu.

7.1 System Menu

MagicalTetrisN64-debugmenu7-1.png

Most of these options only apply to the arcade version. It is currently unknown whether any of the other ones are still functional.

7.2 Game Menu

Various in-game settings can be toggled here.

Unused Graphics

MagTetrisChallenge StackHUD.png

These are the graphics for the pentominoes (and other pieces) that get sent to the opponent's "next" window by clearing lines. Most of these are unused, as you can see below.

Unused Pieces

Hmmm...
To do:
Are these really unused or just extremely, extremely rare?

There's a whole 17 fully functional unused pieces in Magical Tetris Challenge. The ID of the piece is indicated under it.

Interestingly enough, piece 25 stands out from the other ones as it doesn't have a HUD icon and it also comes after the metallic and exclamation mark pieces.
