Mario Kart: Double Dash!!/Unused Objects
This is a sub-page of Mario Kart: Double Dash!!.
To do: I'm Japanese, so my English may be strange. These objects have only recently become widely known (around December 2024), so there may be settings that have not yet been revealed. |
There are several objects that were not used in this game. Unlike the subsequent Mario Kart games, not all objects can be displayed correctly: there are some objects that do not display anything even though they have the appropriate models.
All of these objects' model data is not available in the final.
Contents
TTestRollObj
ID: 3596
testpaipo1.bmd is required, but even with the model prepared, nothing is displayed.
When placed on the track, it appears to move towards the player, and spins out when the player makes contact.
The name suggests that it may have been intended to be placed on the Daisy Cruiser. The required model name suggests it may have been a Spiny Egg or something like that.
GeoMarioKinoko1
ID:3702
An unknown decorative object with cylindrical collision.
Requires mariokinoko1.bmd.
Probably found in Luigi Circuit or Mario Circuit. Kinoko = Mushroom.
GeoKuriCar
ID:4007
On contact, it will be crushed. After a while, it will teleport to the first point of the route.
Requires car_kuri1.bmd
This object does not have the tire movement, unlike other car objects. "Kuri" probably means it was a Goomba-shaped car.
GeoDkCloud
ID:4512
Nothing is displayed, Requires donkeycloud.bmd
TMapObjUFO
ID:4905
An object that follows a route at a constant, fast speed, and then turns around when it reaches the end of the route. Requires ufo.bmd.
This was possibly supposed to be a decoration for Rainbow Road. When you get close, you can hear a beeping sound that seems to be specific to this object.
TMapObjDesun
ID:5002
Unknown, Requires desun1.bmd and desun1.bck.
Judging from the name, it may have been intended to be placed as the sun in the Dry Dry Desert.
TMapObjIceBlock
ID:5106
Unknown, Requires iceblock1.bmd and iceblock1.bck.
It was probably intended as a decoration for Sherbet Land.
