Mario Kart Wii/Inaccessible Content
This is a sub-page of Mario Kart Wii.
To do: Should this page exist? |
Mario Kart Wii was one of the first major Nintendo games to make use of Nintendo WFC. As a result, there are quite a few things that were rendered officially inaccessible after the Wi-Fi service was shut down by Nintendo, though fanmade alternatives, such as Wiimmfi, exist which allow us to still see this content in action.

Galaxy Colosseum
This track was used in three tournaments. It has an outer space theme and features a Topman enemy from Super Mario Galaxy. In the tournaments, players had to knock the Topman off of the arena without being knocked off themselves. The outer rings of the arena would fall and disappear in tournament play, but this does not happen when accessed from elsewhere as the script to activate it is not present.
It can be accessed by entering the codes below and selecting Mushroom Gorge:

Minimap Icons
Used for Wiggler races in tournaments.
Used in a tournament where you fight a Pokey in Thwomp Desert.
Used in tournaments where you fight against Spiky Topmen in Galaxy Colosseum.
HUD Icons
Wiggler
During the Wiggler races found in tournaments, this icon appears on the HUD when the Wiggler is close behind the player, similar to when a Bullet Bill approaches the player.
HoneBall
During the N64 Bowser's Castle Tournament, Dry Bowser would be your opponent. He would shoot three fireballs behind himself when in front of you, and shoot a singular fireball when he is behind you. This icon would appear when the fireball would approach the player from behind.
Music
n_BossMi_32
Used for the Galaxy Colosseum course.
o_Crs_In_Fan_mission
Used at the beginning of certain tournaments. The file's name suggests that the game was originally going to have a Mario Kart DS-esque mission mode.
