Mighty Mike is a top-down shooter where you play a toy soldier who has to shoot at a bunch of other sentient toys to rescue some adorable bunnies.

Debug Keys

  • Pressing N while either clicking the mouse (in Power Pete) or pressing Period (in Mighty Mike) to skip to the next level.
  • On the title screen, holding the left mouse button down on the main menu while pressing 1 through 5 will teleport the player to that level.
  • To record a demo, press R and E on the title screen. There was also supposed to be demo playback done by pressing P and L at the same time.

Unused Graphics

And so was I.

Technically used while loading in the intermission cards, but it gets overwritten before it can be displayed.

Revision Differences

After the contract with MacPlay expired, Pangea Software re-released under its intended title. The "Power Pete" name was chosen due to legal paranoia over the "Mighty Mouse"

Not only did the title of the game get changed, but so did the font. Softer shadows are used on Mighty Mike's title screen and the curtain in the background uses a different render. Despite this, instances of "Power Pete" can still be spotted in the game, such as when selecting between one or two players.

  • The entire game was rewritten for PowerPC Macs. This also means that interlaced mode was removed.
  • The playfield was significantly expanded.
