Need for Speed: Undercover (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows)
|Need for Speed: Undercover|
Developers: EA Black Box (Windows),
EA Vancouver (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3)
Are there any remains for the Lamborghini Reventón? I couldn't find any model for it in the Xbox 360 beta version.

Need for Speed: Undercover is what happens when you want to make a yearly game but you forget to polish it. And yes, because you had to rush it for the late quarter release, there's a good amount of unused content in this game.
- 1 Unused Cars
- 2 Unused Text
- 3 Revisional Differences
- 4 Unused video
AAA_AAA_AAA_01 is a blocky test car. It uses the Porsche 911 Turbo's frontend text, has the BMW M3 E92's bumper mesh, plus two floating plates on top of the vehicle with the Bugatti Veyron 16.4's textures. It also uses the 911 Turbo's engine audio and performance tunings, but also has its own tunings which are unused.
Just like the 350Z in Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005), it's unused here (but this time it's the 2006 model also seen in Need for Speed: ProStreet, as the driver model is Ryan Cooper's from that game). Its performance parts are all identical, meaning upgrades will not improve its statistics. It is also capable of having any spoiler variant put onto it.
Notably, in the Xbox 360 beta build, this car was used at the start of the game. In the final, you drive a 370Z instead. The Nissan 350Z is a Tier 3 car priced at $65,500. Like the AAA_AAA_AAA_01, it uses the Porsche 911 Turbo's frontend string, but has its own unused frontend strings listed as "350z".
The Buick GNX's mesh consists of a low LOD Camaro SS model also from ProStreet. Its vehicle node lacks performance parts and engine audio, thus it inherits those of its parent; the default, which uses the Nissan 370Z's audio and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X's performance, specifically.
Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera
The Gallardo Superleggera is a leftover from ProStreet. Its damage model is incomplete and bodykits don't work. Its frontend is "gallardos".
Subaru Impreza WRX STI (2006)
Like the Superleggera, it's a leftover from ProStreet. It lacks an entry in the vehicle database (same goes for performance, engine audio, and Tier), and its bodykits don't work. Also, there's no damage model.
Chrysler 300C SRT-8
The 300C SRT-8 is a leftover from Need for Speed: Carbon. The model is unfinished and certain aftermarket parts can be equipped. Its performance parts are always locked because the 300C is a Tier 0 car. Its price is $35,000.
Aston Martin DBS
The DBS appears unused in the Xbox 360 Beta version of the game, but its files don't exist in the final build. However, there's a mention of its car parts and hood camera position in the GLOBAL.BIN.
The Lamborghini Reventón is mentioned in GLOBALB.BUN in build 18.104.22.168, however it doesn't have a model nor textures.
The only leftovers of the Saleen S7 is the logo and vehicle stats. However, the stats are unfinished.
Collector's Edition cars
The Pontiac Solstice GXP and Audi RS4 have code for setting them to be exclusive to the Collector's Edition ("IsCollectorEdition"). Setting these to True makes them unpurchasable without buying the Collector's Edition version.
Also, the player can set the Porsche Cayman S (987), Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG (R230), Koenigsegg CCX, BMW Z4 M Coupe (E86) and Dodge Challenger Concept to be purchasable in the PC version, just by changing the IsCollectorEdition field from True to False or deleting the field entirely. however, they also have a hidden in game price.
Prices for Collector's Edition Cars
Because these cars were set to being Collector's Edition only, the following cars had their prices set, but went unused due to the aforementioned reason, which buying the Collector's Edition removes the prices and unlock restrictions from the Collector's Edition-only cars. The Collector's Edition can still be bought on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, but due to changes on Need for Speed's official website, it can no longer be purchased on the PC version. However, the player can make these cars available in the PC version by falsifying or deleting their "IsCollectorEdition" field.
- BMW Z4 M Coupe (E86) - $138.000
- Dodge Challenger Concept - $181.500
- Koenigsegg CCX - $315.000
- Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG (R230) - $175.000
- Porsche Cayman S (987) - $109.000

Located within the language files are strings for cars not included in the final game, including leftover text strings from ProStreet and older titles.
