But, say... I should tell you about this place, shouldn't I? This here arcade specializes in badge catchers. Badge catchers are basically a lot like crane games. You've played crane games before, right? (Totally!/Nope. Afraid not.)	But I should tell you about this place, shouldn't I? This here game arcade is for playin' on badge catchers! Badge catchers are really just crane games. You've played crane games before, right? (Totally./Never.)

About Badges

First, though, we should talk about the prizes you can win here... They're nifty, exclusive badges like this one here! You'll find your favorite characters from lots of different games. There're bunches and BUNCHES to collect!	First, wanna know what you can get from badge catchers? Exclusive badges only available here, that's what! You can get your fave characters from the hottest games! There's stacks of them for you to collect!
You can decorate your HOME Menu with them! Why, just THINK of the possibilities. You're already familiar with the HOME Menu, right? It's that menu where you see all your software titles.	You can even put them on your HOME Menu! Can you dig it?! You already know about the HOME Menu, right? It's the menu where you choose a game to play.
If you get yourself some badges, you can arrange them just like your software icons... and really jazz up your HOME Menu. Placing badges on your HOME Menu is super easy. Here, let me show you how my HOME Menu looks!	Well, if you get yourself some badges, you can arrange them like your software icons, and really jazz up your HOME Menu! I say jazz up, but the term is actually "placing" them! Let me show you what I mean on my HOME Menu.
Right now I'm using some Mario Kart 8 badges. Add the matching theme and...voilà! Nifty, huh? Matching themes like this one're only available here. I'll explain how to get those exclusives later on.	I've jazzed mine up to look like Mario Kart 8! Then I add a matching theme and voilà! Pretty nifty, eh? This theme is an original only available here! But I'll explain all about themes later.
First, though, some more examples! Here're some badges for Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Oh, and check THESE out! Pretty sweet, amiright? I mean, just LOOK at all those coins. SO COOOOL!	For Animal Crossing: New Leaf, it can look like this! You can collect all your favourite characters! If you get a load of badges, you can do this! Making an ace HOME Menu of your own is pretty neat!
And those're just SOME of the great badges you can win. Just FYI, normally five plays would cost you $1.00. When I say $1.00, I'm talking about real money. And when I say real money, I mean this kind of real.	You can get lots of great badges from the badge catchers. Badge catchers normally cost €1.00 for 5 plays! When I say €1.00, I'm talking about real money! And when I say real money... I mean this kind of real!
REALLY real. ...Heh. Pretty sweet look, right? You don't have to spend any real money right now, though. That's because I have a special welcome gift for you... Five free plays! These are the badges that're up for grabs. You gotta use the crane to catch them. The controls are simple... All you need is this button right here!	These are the badges that're up for grabs! You'll need to move the crane to win them! The controls are simple! Just use this button!
Press and hold it down to make the crane move. You can touch it with your stylus or use A for that. As soon as you release the button, the crane will descend and its claws will close.	The crane moves while you press the button! You can press the A Button or touch the lower screen! As soon as you release the button... the crane will descend and grab whatever's in range!
Anything it grabs on to and drops into the badge chute is yours to keep! That's really all there is to it. OK, time for your first try. Give it your best shot!	If it can hold on to it, and drops it in the hole... You'll win that badge as your reward! That's all there is to it! OK, time for your first go! Give it your best shot!

Here, I'll teach you the basics.	You should be proud you got something your first try! I'm really impressed! Actually, I didn't get anything on my first go... Let's decorate your HOME Menu with your winnings! I'd better show you the basics of placing badges!
Direct your eyes to the lower screen for me, please. OK, so first you'll want to tap Place Badges. Ack! Not yet, though! This is just a demo. Anyhoo... Tapping that button opens up your badge box. You'll find all of your available badges in there.	Take a look at the Touch Screen! Touch the Place badges icon to get decorating! Oops! I don't mean right now! Sorry if you tried to! Touching Place badges displays your badge box! Any badges you've won should turn up in your box!
Use your stylus to tap the badge you want to place, and then drag and drop to move it to an open spot. Lift your stylus and...voilà! Your badge is placed! Totally simple, right?	Touch a badge you like in the badge box. Then slide the stylus... Lift the stylus and... decorate! Simple...isn't it?
You can use ⟰ to return to the arcade. Just press ⟰ once to close your badge box, and then press ⟰ again to return here! Pretty straightforward, right?	To return to the arcade, use the ⟰ HOME Button! Press ⟰ once to close the badge box. Then press ⟰ again to return here! I really hope you come back!
Let's see you give it a try! Tap Place Badges to begin. When you're done, press ⟰ twice to come back. Welcome back! It's great to see you again. So did you decorate your HOME Menu? Hi there! Today's the day! After a year and a half, I'm moving on from my post! Oh? You haven't heard the news about the Arcade!? It's a long story, but...this week is the last week for new badges!	Heya! We're finally here, my last week! It's been a great year and a half! Wait! This isn't the first you're hearing about this, is it?! Well, to put it simply, this will be the last week we're releasing new badges.
After releasing over 8,800 badges, we're out of new badges to release! Moving forward, we will cycle all of our previously released badges! With the lack of new badges, my job is slightly changing here, too! That means I will no longer select posts for the Miiverse Gallery! Sorry...	Don't worry, you'll still be able to play the game and collect more badges... But there won't be any new badge sets being released! That also means you won't be seeing any new posts in Miiverse Gallery!
Today is actually my last day in this post, so let's go all out! The truth is, I'm not the only one who works here in the Arcade! There are a bunch of other great staff members who keep us afloat!
