This page contains notes for the game PlayStation 2.
ROM directory
This is a list of the files in one ROM's filesystem.
Some of these names have a 1-letter prefix identifying a special characteristic (although not all files starting with these letters are linked to these features):
- P - exclusive to the PSX media center (not seen in the following example)
- X - "extended" = improved from the prefix-less version (used in the non-updated SCPH-10xxx)
- T - "test" = used when booted in TESTMODE [through an appropriate homebrew, or by shorting to ground the appropriate mechacon pin, accessible through a hole in the shielding (in turn "accessible" through the ceiling of the Expansion Bay in 3xxxx and 5xxxx models)]. TESTMODE mainly displays a few video test patterns and allows for servicing via 0/5V serial interface (through the other pins).
