This is a sub-page of ParaParaParadise (Arcade).
Sometime in December 2000, ParaParaParadise was released in Korea, under the title of ParaParaDancing. It is a peculiar release, mixing elements from both revisions of the original game and even from a then yet-to-come release.
Regional Differences
- ParaParaDancing received an overhauled interface for the mode and song select screens. This interface would later be used in ParaParaParadise 1stMIX PLUS, released that same month.
- In ParaParaDancing, the main menu BGM starts playing in the Caution screen, instead of starting at the mode select screen like in the Japanese releases.
Songlist
- The songs I WANNA DANCE and TORA TORA TORA are absent. Despite this, music select graphics for both songs can be found unused.
I WANNA DANCE
|
|
TORA TORA TORA
|
|
- Six new licenses were added, all being Eurobeat remixes of Korean songs: Go H.O.T -super euro version-, Haengbog -super euro version-, Neoleul salanghae -super euro version-, Oh My Love -super euro version-, SARA -super euro version- and We are the Future -super euro version-.
- The Konami original song Hold on me was replaced by a Korean version, titled Hold on me -KOREAN MIX-.
- The original songs CAN'T STOP FALLIN' IN LOVE -super euro version- and DYNAMITE RAVE -super euro version- received ParaPara charts.
- The EXPERT charts of the songs EUROBEAT and SPEEDWAY were rerated from 5 and 4 to 7 and 8, respectively.
Functions
- ParaParaDancing contains eight sensors compared to ParaParaParadise's five. To make use of this functionality, a modifier was added in which the used sensors can be rotated. This feature is not present in ParaParaParadise 1stMIX PLUS.
Unused Graphics
Graphics for the ParaParaParadise v1.1 and ParaParaParadise 1stMIX PLUS songs can be found among the gameplay HUD and song select screen assets.

Additionally, inside folder KOREA/PLAY, in which are contained the gameplay HUD assets, a small banner for the licensed song Candy by H.O.T can be found. It is presumed this song was scrapped due to licensing issues, and was likely replaced by SARA -super euro version-.
Unused Charts
Among the game's notechart data, exist unused files, meant for songs not present in this game (all of which are identical to final v1.1), Another charts (all of which are identical to final 1stMIX PLUS), songs from ParaParaParadise v1.1 (all of which are identical to the final release of that game) and ParaParaParadise 1stMIX PLUS (some of which are different from the final product), along with ParaPara charts for the 6 Korean licenses (all of which consist of left and right notes every 8 measures). Only the 1stMIX PLUS charts will be documented below.
