A check for mouse presence is done at 0x0606253c (mirrored at 0x0e06253c). If connected, these debug features are skipped.
Hold down L + R + A + B + C, then press Reset.
Despite what the SRAM test description suggests, executing that test requires a more complex input sequence, checked on function 0x06062ec0: press A, then hold down A + D + Start.
