Version 1.2.x

v1.2.0

Made available as a patch on the eShop on May 27, 2015. Several new features were added:

  • Previously, Hearts would only regenerate if the total amount was less than 5. Now, regardless of how many Hearts the player has, 5 Hearts will always be regenerating at a time.
  • As an anti-cheating mechanism, certain stages, mostly competitive Challenge Special Stages, check how a score is obtained. If the game judges the data it collects as "improper", three outcomes may occur: the high score may be reset to zero, the player may be completely removed from the ranking, and the player may be banned from participating in the ranking entirely.
  • As a follow-up, the HOME button is disabled during timed challenges, to block a popular exploit.
  • Players may randomly receive a doubled catch rate for a Pokémon when a stage is completed. The game calls this "Super Catch Power".
  • A new item called "Mega Speedup" is added. When used, the Mega Gauge will fill up faster, allowing a Pokémon to Mega-Evolve faster.
  • The Level and Experience of Pokémon also appear when you optimize them on the stage selection.
  • Each Mega Evolution now has a number by their Mega Effect which can be boosted. The effects of this are currently unknown.
  • You can now see a Pokémon’s details immediately after capture.
  • Bonbon Boulevard is renamed to Sweet Strasse.

v1.3.0

Full list of changes:

  • The title screen background color is changed.
  • New fonts and borders are added throughout the game.
  • Adds notes for how many Pokémon you have caught in each area.
  • Recommended level added on some stages.
  • Amelia's Recommendation added for some stages.
  • Next Expert Level beyond what you've unlocked is added, with a note showing how many S Ranks you have.
  • In Competitive Stage rankings, in addition to the Top 5, it now lists the various cut-off points for each prize including the current score for it.
  • In Pokémon Safari stages, silhouettes and icons are shown of the Pokémon you haven't and have caught respectively.
  • Touch a Pokémon on the stage select screen to show its details.
  • Experience gained value added at the end of each stage.
  • Shows type effectiveness when scrolling through the Support Pokémon list to select a Support Pokémon.
  • Remaining experience to level up listed on Pokémon List.
  • In Event Stages, a blue exclamation mark is shown if the stage has yet to be played.
  • New mode added: Survival Mode. Survival Mode has you face off against various stages non-stop and unlocks after you beat Stage 150. You select your 4 Support Pokémon before you start and you have to pay 3 Hearts in order to play the mode. From here, you play through random stages, with some stages being fixed, from the main part of the game. You have a fixed amount of moves for each stage, but that does increase depending on your success in the game. There are 50 stages to fight through. The fixed stages are:
    • Level 3 - Mega Kangaskhan
    • Level 6 - Mega Audino
    • Level 10 - Mega Sableye
    • Level 11 - Mega Slowbro
    • Level 15 - Raichu

As you get past various stages, you will receive various item enhancements as a prize. All of these enhancements are new, so descriptions have been provided.

    • Exp. Booster S (increases your Pokémon's Exp. Points by 50) at Level 10.
    • Exp. Booster M (Increases your Pokémon's Exp. Points by 200) at Level 20 (Level 10 the first time).
    • Exp. Booster L (increases your Pokémon's Exp. Points by 1,000) at Level 30.
    • Level Up (increases your Pokémon's Level by 1) at Level 40.
    • Raise Max Level (allows for the Pokémon to go above Level 10 by 1 level per item) at Level 50.
  • New mode added: Mission Cards. Mission Cards give you specific missions to accomplish and give various rewards for completing them. Each Mission Card has a number of missions to complete and each mission gives a certain amount of stars for completion. These stars act as reward markers and give you items when you hit certain milestones.
  • Multiple Pokémon now able to go beyond Level 10 due to the Raise Max Level item.
  • Ability to search for Pokémon based on type effectiveness when selecting Support Pokémon.
  • Functionality to allow for the quick travel to the various areas is added.
  • SpotPass Functionality added to allow for news on updates to be sent automatically to the 3DS.
  • If you have purchased between 5 and 9 Jewels in a month, your regenerated Hearts can go up to 6 and you get 600 coins with each Check In. If you have purchased over 10 Jewels in a month, your regenerated Hearts can go up to 7 and you get 700 coins with each Check In. This lasts until the end of the month you purchased the Jewels in.
