pop'n music 3 was the first arcade pop'n music game with Hyper charts, although they could only be played in the Hyper mode (which is essentially a course mode, where the player chooses between lists of three songs each). Licensed songs also saw their debut here. And a different character designer as well.

Unused Graphic

This ranking screen icon belongs to song Surechigau futari, which is absent from this game. As there are no other mentions of this song in the game's data, this was likely used as a placeholder. An object featuring this graphic can be loaded in the Obj Character Test menu, as ID 1F0.

Build Date

At the beginning of the uncompressed CHD data for the game, a string containing the game's ID, version and build date can be found.
