Dog's Life was shown off at GDC 2001 during David Braben's presentation, "Technology Five Years From Now". The game is known as Dog's Tale at this point.

Frontier Dogs Demonstrator

On October 25, 2001, Frontier Developments released a small animation demonstrator program to showcase their IK technology known as "R-TAG". This demonstrator happens to use an early dog model for Jake and the Dalmatian that also appears in some early builds.
