Fightbox was announced at E3 2003 according to a BBC Multimedia press release. It took a year to develop. It was released in February 2004.

Sales Videos

These videos come from a BBC producer and they showcase different aspects of the game from early in development. This video focuses on the Bonus Game on Pro Difficulty.

  • The health bar is different and is positioned on the top middle section of the screen.
  • The power meter is different and is positioned on the top middle section of the screen.
  • Score text is present.
  • The robot you attack for points is a different color.
  • There is no UI in the top left corner for the player controlled robot.

These two videos are of the Warrior Construction Mode and showcase the Edit and Scaling Options.

  • The Info Box uses completely different text for the Scaling Option.
  • There is a UI in the right hand corner of the screen that's present.

This video focuses on the Bonus Game on Novice Difficulty which is the Gauntlet.

  • The health bar is different and is positioned on the top middle section of the screen.
  • The power meter is different and is positioned on the top middle section of the screen.
  • Score text is present.
  • Lap text is present.

This video focuses on the Bonus Game on Amateur Difficulty which is the Platforms.

  • The health bar is different and is positioned on the top middle section of the screen.
  • The power meter is different and is positioned on the top middle section of the screen.
  • Score text is present.
  • Lap text is present.
  • You get far less points than you do in the final game.
  • There is no UI in the top left corner for the player controlled robot.
