Fightbox was announced at E3 2003 according to a BBC Multimedia press release. It took a year to develop. It was released in February 2004.
Sales Videos
These videos come from a BBC producer and they showcase different aspects of the game from early in development. This video focuses on the Bonus Game on Pro Difficulty.
- The health bar is different and is positioned on the top middle section of the screen.
- The power meter is different and is positioned on the top middle section of the screen.
- Score text is present.
- The robot you attack for points is a different color.
- There is no UI in the top left corner for the player controlled robot.
These two videos are of the Warrior Construction Mode and showcase the Edit and Scaling Options.
- The Info Box uses completely different text for the Scaling Option.
- There is a UI in the right hand corner of the screen that's present.
This video focuses on the Bonus Game on Novice Difficulty which is the Gauntlet.

This video focuses on the Bonus Game on Amateur Difficulty which is the Platforms.

- You get far less points than you do in the final game.
- There is no UI in the top left corner for the player controlled robot.
