This is a sub-page of Development:Jurassic Park: Trespasser.

These are various models and objects collected by the Trespasser fanbase over the years from several former Trespasser devs.

Plains Object Layout

Of all the things the Trespasser fanbase has acquired from the developers, this is probably one of the most significant ones. What the above means is that it gives level designers something to work with and possibly restore the lost Plains level, as most of the height map is still located in the InGen Town level. What you're seeing here is basic texture object layout and plant placement. The black specks are various kinds of plants, the large pink squiggly lines are riverbeds, and the large blue square is an object labeled box01, possibly some kind of trigger. The flat dark blue splotches are sand of some sort and the white ones are a mix of sand and grass. What is seen here is an aerial view. Unfortunately, there's no indication where the Dam would have gone, in spite of documents explicitly mentioning it.

The Riverbeds

The riverbeds are pretty significant as they match up with Industrial Jungle's River beds. However, InGen Town's riverbeds are facing the wrong way in build 96 and the final, indicating their positioning was changed. The existence and positioning of them in the Plains layout suggests that the riverbeds originally were supposed to be lined up and connected between Industrial Jungle, InGen Town, and Plains respectively.

Unused and Removed Models

Hmmm...
To do:
Finish this section and add images.

Also referred to as "Mystery Models" sometimes, these models were collected from Trespasser developers over the years in .max format so it wasn't exactly easy to get these screenshots as .max format can only be read by 3D Studio Max typically. Special Thanks to Trescom member Tatu for taking and donating these images.

PAntiqueRifle

TresPAntiqueRifle-00.png
An Antique Flintlock Rifle. This was obviously meant for the Plantation House level but it never got used. Unlike the Pistol, it has textures all around which means it was meant to be usable as a weapon.

PantPistol01

TresPantPistol01.png
Unlike the Rifle above, only one side appears to be textured, meaning it was probably meant to be mounted on a wall for decoration.

Pbriefcase

TresPbriefcase.png
An old briefcase. It could have fit a number of locations in the game. The 1997 walkthrough mention a briefcase to be found on a sunken tug in the LAB level. There is also a mention about a briefcase in Hammond's voice-over script; "Briefcase with tools and a gun, found behind rusted hidden panel". This description goes for VH52, and also appears to be planned for LAB.

Pbuscrash

TresPbuscrash.png
This did make its way into the final game but the model was butchered and the doors and one seat were removed. This was probably done to reduce poly count as more objects were added to the game.

PButcherTable

TresPButcherTable.png
Judging by the name, it probably would have been in the town, due to the amount of local businesses it had. That being said, there's definitely not a butcher shop in the final or any of the early versions.

Pcallbox

TresPcallbox.png
This call box can actually be found in early versions of Jungle Road. Notably in build 32 and build 55. It was eventually removed though a phone of similar design would replace it in the final version of Jungle Road.

Pcasull

TresPcasull.png
Freedom Arms Casull revolver. It's pretty much identical to the Rugar Redhawk but the Redhawk has its own separate model name, which indicates this is supposed to be a separate weapon.

Pchair01

TresPchair01.png
A wooden chair. Its makeshift appearance actually resembles the bed in the Servant's Quarters in build 32's Plantation House.

PColonialChair

TresPColonialChair.png
No textures exist for this model though judging by the name, it was meant for the Plantation House.

Pcoonan357

TresPcoonan357.png
A Coonan .357 Magnum. This weapon is similar to the Colt that ended up being forgotten in Jungle Road's basement.

PDBShotgun

TresPDBShotgun.png
A Double-Barreled Shotgun. It didn't get used for unspecified reasons. Most likely because of the hectic development cycle. Chances are it would have been quite a powerful weapon with lots of kick to it when fired.

PdeadfallTrap00

TresPdeadfallTrap00.png
Probably a booby trap of some kind judging by the name. No telling where it would have been used.

PdeadfallTrap01

TresPdeadfallTrap01.png
Another booby trapped tree. Judging by the log in the tree, it may have fallen on Anne or a target when the stick under it was dislodged which would probably severely injure or even kill them.

PdeadfallTrap02

TresPdeadfallTrap02.png
A booby trapped log. Judging by this one, a rock could be removed to dislodge the log causing it to roll off the other rock. Would have probably been good for killing dinosaurs pursuing Anne, or even a hazard for Anne herself.

pdesk

Trespdesk00.png
A rickety old desk. Has drawers that Anne could probably remove. No real indication where this would have gone had it been used. This desk appears in a few early staged shoots and the Trespasser trailer.

pdeskw

TresPDeskw.png
Another desk with removable drawers. The desk without the drawers can be found in various levels in the game.

PDiningChairs

TresPDiningChairs.png
Probably would have been used for Hammond's dining room in InGen Town.

Pdiningroomchair

TresPdiningroomchair.png
Same as the previous. This one actually fits the aesthetic of Hammond's house a little bit better.

Pdinotrap

TresPdinotrap.png
This is a trap for a dinosaur. It would have been used in Plantation House as the 1997 walkthrough mentions traps like this one. Anne was supposed to get her leg caught in these and she'd have to pull them off to move again. A similar trap to this was also used by Roland and Ajay to hold the Baby T-Rex in place in the movie.

PDrugBundles

TresPDrugBundles.png
Would have been used with the Smugglers' Plane in the Plains level. For whatever reason, it and the crates for the Smugglers' plane didn't get used when the plane was moved over to Industrial Jungle.

Pglock17

TresPglock17.png
A Glock 17 handgun. Never got used at any point.

Phammondrevoler1

TresPhammondrevoler1.png
An alternative version of Hammond's Revolver with different textures. It may have been planned that Hammond had two revolvers at one point and the player could find the second one in his Office in the Lab level.

PHammondsDesk

TresPHammondsDesk.png
It's pretty much the same as the used version except it has removable drawers.

Phunterbones

TresPhunterbones.png
A large number of the bones were axed for the final. All the bones are actually located in Plantation House's basement in build 32 and a few of them are also located near the construction trailer in said level as well (some are buried underground though and are not viewable sadly).

Pingenfridge

TresPingenfridge.png
A refrigerator that would have probably been used in various places in InGen Town. Most notably, kitchens in the bungalows scattered throughout town, Henry Wu's kitchen, and Hammond's Kitchen.

Plog00

TresPlog00.png
An unused log. Judging by the wood, it was probably a log meant for trees in the higher altitude areas of the island (Pine Valley, Lab, and Ascent).

Plog01

TresPlog01.png
A stump of the same kind of tree.

Plog02

TresPlog02.png
More of the same.

PMac10

TresPMac10.png
An alternative version of the Mac-10 weapon with a stock for extra support while aiming, allowing for more precise firing. Didn't get used.

PMac10wSilencer

TresPMac10wSilencer.png
Same as above, but with a silencer. Like other used silenced weapons, it would have been notably quieter than the standard Mac-10.

Pmetalcotframe

TresPmetalcotframe.png
A broken cot frame. This appears in one of the early 3ds Max scenes of the Town level.

Pmetalfoldingtable

TresPmetalfoldingtable.png
A metal folding table. Build 96 has the folding chair counterpart to this put in InGen Town.

Preceptiondesk

TresPreceptiondesk.png
This was intended for the Lab level. It is possibly an early version of the one later used.

Ps&w5900

TresPs&w5900.png
An S&W5900 Magnum. Seems a lot of Magnums and revolvers didn't make the cut.

PS&Wm76

TresPS&Wm76.png
An S&W M76 that didn't get used.

Psacrificialblade

TresPsacrificialblade.png
This was meant to be found at one of the various Mayan ruins scattered throughout the island. The MS Word document labeled Secrets.doc that's bundled with the Trespasser source, mentions this dagger was planned to be used for an Altar that would have been hard to get to and the dagger would have been an extra damaging melee weapon. Sadly, nothing came of this idea because the developers ran out of time. The blade is breakable, suggesting you could break it in-game.

PSaloonChair

TresPSaloonChair.png
The name is a dead giveaway. This was meant for the Saloon in InGen Town.

Pscaffold

TresPscaffold.png
Some parts of this did get used in the final while others were dropped as production progressed.
