This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
Hmmm...
To do:
Document behind the scenes video https://archive.org/details/AdventuresOnLEGOIsland-BehindTheScenes

E3 1996 Build

This footage was included on a bonus CD bundled with an issue of the German magazine PC Action covering E3 1996, from when the game was known as "Adventures on LEGO Island". Unfortunately, the audio is missing, and it appears to only be footage of the intro FMV and the Information Center.

E3 1997 Build

Some near-final footage of the game was released by the game's composer, Lorin Nelson, from a demo reel played at E3 1997. It can be found here.

Extended Bad Ending Cutscene

An uncut version of the bad ending cutscene from the E3 '97 demo reel, which in the final would play if the player failed to catch the Brickster during the helicopter chase. It's longer, more crying can be heard, and the Information Center can be seen near the end with a glowing aura around it as if it were on fire.

The first 35 seconds and the scene with the Information Center, among several other scenes, were cut from the final version due to the developers feeling it was too harsh given that their target audience was young children.

Squad Car

Hmmm...
To do:
Get the scan in from the game's box.

An early rendered screenshot on the back of the game's box shows the Squad Car, a cut vehicle, next to the Police Station. The Squad Car was modeled on the car in LEGO set 6625 Speed Trackers. The Squad Car is also referenced in dialogue associated with the Laura Brick Hospital mission.
