Box Art Screenshots

The game's box art shows screenshots of the port in an even more primitive state than the Prototype. Since box art is usually produced months in advance, this is par for the course.

The "New Kid" option is "What Is" in this version, falling closer in line with the C64 and DOS originals. The color of the room is blue instead of orange; this actually makes the shadow contrast on the pillars around the door make sense. The item ordering is different, and the characters to shift the inventory space is different (with two down arrows instead of just one, assuming the inventory is at the top of the list). The perspective on the opening at the top of the steps has been fixed in the final game, and the basket for the large plant is larger in the proto, making the shadow it casts different.

The room palette is different. The "Disco Sucks" poster is still present. The "Mom" poster appears to be different. The CD Player item doesn't appear to have been implemented yet.

There are no bushes surrounding the house. The Mailbox is different, and there doesn't appear to be a doorbell. But still, the message that plays when you "read" the doorbell in the final is still playing, probably displayed through the use of the "What Is" command in this prototype.
