Mega Man X Legacy Collection Trailer

  • The way the 4 appears on the title screen is different, coming from the bottom-left repeatedly. The final game has no special effect.
  • "SAMPLE" is written on the title screen.
  • A ripple effect appears in Magma Dragoon's stage background, something that only exists in the Saturn version.
  • The Soul Body icon is different, showing two Reploids instead of a dashing Reploid.
  • The gold Blast Raster is present in Web Spider's stage, which was removed from the final release.
  • Beginning at 0:54 in the video is a song that is present nowhere in the final release, but whose melody was eventually reworked for the Meteor Comp in Mega Man Battle Network 4 more than six years later (both games were composed by Toshihiko Horiyama).

April 1997 Multiple Option CFC (Capcom Friendly Club) Style

  • X and Zero use voice clips from Rockman and Forte respectively, placeholders before actual voice clips were recorded or implemented. This could be why there are leftover sounds from Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters in the May 8, 1997 prototype.
  • Zero reuses the third slash from his ground slash combo as his airbone slash, much more resembling its X3 incarnation. This was changed to a unique variant with more flexibility in the air by the May 8, 1997 prototype.
  • In Web Spider's stage, the cave housing the leg armor capsule has not been implemented yet.
