From a promotional flyer included with the Japanese version of Magic Sword.
Shots of the Long Stairs level that goes unused in the final. The second image shows its boss fight, which isn't present in the final game's version of the level: a toy soldier riding Flip's bird, backed up by a large number of toy soldiers descending from above.
Shots of the Goat Car level that is also unused in the final.
These and the other images also show that Nemo and Flip attacked by punching and kicking at this point in development. The final has them use wands instead, though the punching and kicking frames are used for the intro to Stage 2, Slumber Land.
