A demo called Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gold Rescue Team - Challenge the Gold Rank! was released only in South Korea on August 11, 2007. Unfortunately, the game required an online connection to be played and the servers have long since been shut down, resulting in this demo being considered lost media. Only one file from the demo currently remains.

Differences

Demo-exclusive ending message.

  • Unlike the previous demo version, this time you can play through the game until you meet Xatu at Great Canyon.

It lacks the Wonder Mail option in the main menu screen.

Oddities

  • Despite the game's controls being changed for a keyboard, the dungeon controls menu still has the DS controls from Blue Rescue Team.
