Development Timeline

2018

  • March: According to the asset files, the game was made in Unity Version 2018.3.12f1, meaning the game likely started development around this time.

2020

  • January 9: The game is announced during Pokémon Direct, with a demo version being released the same day.
  • March 6: The game is released worldwide.

Promotional Videos

Various promotional videos made inside the game were released showcasing areas that cannot be normally accessed in the demo. Only two of them were released in English.

  • Treecko's name is misspelt as "Treeko"

  • Similar to Version 1, but the trailer is a few seconds shorter. In which the first dungeon attempt, cuts out the part where Treecko and Charmander go into the dungeon and the "Two hours later..." time card appears instantly.
  • Treecko's name is correctly spelt.
