When was the game's English title decided on? When was the game presented at the Tokyo Asia-Pacific Entertainment Festival? When was it presented in London?

2001

  • September - Concepts for a new game are presented to the Team Ico staff.[1]

2002

  • Late January - The first draft of a storyboard for a cutscene to be used for presenting the game is completed.[1]
  • March 10 - The staff attend a training camp for horseback riding at Mt. Fuji.[1]
  • Mid-May - A real-time cutscene to be used for presenting the game is completed.[1]
  • June - Development begins on "NICO" for presentation purposes.[1]
  • July - Additional staff members are recruited via the Internet and magazines.[1]

2003

  • May - "NICO" is demonstrated and given the greenlight for full development.[1]
  • June 21 - A test audience is assembled for the first time.[1]

2004

  • August - The Japanese title, ワンダと巨像 (Wanda to Kyozou, meaning "Wander and the Colossus"), is decided on.[1]
  • September 10 - A Wanda to Kyozou Development Presentation Assembly is held.[1]

2005

  • February 5 - A test audience is assembled for the fourth time.[1]
  • May 18 - A trial version of the game is exhibited at E3 in Los Angeles.[1]
  • July - The alpha version of the game is completed.[1]
  • September - The beta version of the game is completed.[1]
  • September 16 - A test play version of the game is exhibited at the Tokyo Game Show.[1]
  • September - The development deadline for the Japanese and North American versions of the game.[1]
  • October 17 - Shadow of the Colossus is released in North America.[1]
  • October 27 - Wanda to Kyozou is released in Japan.[1]

2006

  • February 16 - Shadow of the Colossus is released in Australia.
  • February 17 - Shadow of the Colossus is released in Europe.
