This page details prerelease information and/or media for Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2.

Hmmm...
To do:
There are a bunch of high-quality prerelease screenshots on a press disc for this game

The August and October screenshots come from Nintendo's page on the game, with the dates per the HTTP Last-Modified headers and the filenames.

August 2001

  • The colors are identical to the SNES original. The final palette is brighter, most noticeable with Mario and the backgrounds.
  • The HUD is identical to the SNES version, with the odd difference of the numbers (minus the Bonus Star one) all being green. Aside from restoring the proper coloring, the final cuts the reserve item box down to a simple bracket, moves everything upward to the top edge of the screen, and condenses portions of the HUD to take up a bit less space.

The HUD and palettes are still the SNES ones, though at least the former has its proper number colors.
