A subpar conversion of the popular computer game, made by the same team who developed the NES Dragon's Lair.

Uncompiled Source Code

A small piece of uncompiled source code made its way into the European ROM at 0xDE10.

  • The text at the top of the screen was shifted upwards in the US version to make room for the Virgin Games logo.
  • The European version has a red tint for the text, while the US version displays in plain white.
  • The string of text
PRINCE OF PERSIA IS A REGISTERED TRADEMARK OF BRODERBUND SOFTWARE, INC.
was moved to the lower part of the copyright text in the US version. It swaps its place with the text
    ©1989, 1992 BRODERBUND SOFTWARE, INC.
    and
©1992 VIRGIN GAMES, INC. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
. The European version also adds a
    JORDAN MECHNER.
string after the Broderbund copyright, which necessitated a comma after the ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.

Interestingly, the US version does not say LICENSED BY NINTENDO OF AMERICA, and just says LICENSED BY NINTENDO instead.
