Pro Wrestling was one of the first wrestling games on the NES, and probably the first to really get it right. It features six original playable wrestlers, each with their own unique special moves. It was designed and programmed by Masato Masuda, who would later go on to create the Fire Pro Wrestling series.

The infamous "A WINNER IS YOU" line dropped the A, while "WIN" and "LOSE" became "WON" and "LOST".
Regional Differences
This game was released to the public exclusively for the Famicom Disk System in Japan. There was another Japanese version released for the FamicomBox, a pay for play system used in hotels.

The wrestler graphics were changed from their in-game sprites to the portraits from the intro sequence. The wrestler names were added below the portraits. The background was changed from teal to black.
