This is a sub-page of Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy.

By clicking on a little building icon in the bottom-left of the Bonuses in the Japanese version, the player can enter a secret area featuring three exclusive puzzles.

While this building and its puzzles are inaccessible in the international versions, remnants of the graphics and puzzles still exist in the English files, including translated versions of the puzzle descriptions and hints.

General

The secret room is a café setting featuring Layton, Luke, and all the Puzzle Lads and Lasses, with three buttons on the Touch Screen that will allow the player to access extra puzzles after passwords are entered. The buttons change their appearance after the puzzles are solved.

Each puzzle is referred to as number "???' and offer no Picarats, which is the standard for all non-Layton's Challenge puzzles (for example, "A Curious Present" from Diabolical Box/Pandora's Box), though internally they are numbered 166, 167, and 168.

The first two, "ショコラのナゾ" ("Chocolat Puzzle") and "ケーキのナゾ" ("Cake Puzzle"), are from a collaboration with Ezaki Glico Co., Ltd. Two different bags of chocolate - each one of two different flavors (Gateau Chocolat and Chiffon Cake) - were sold to further promote the game. The passwords for those came alongside the chocolates, but were also later put on the official website, likely for those who didn't get the items during their limited run.

The third, "サッカーのナゾ" ("Soccer Puzzle"), is a cross-promotion for Inazuma Eleven GO 2 (from another series of Level-5's), and the password is simply "something related" to the game. It was later put on the official website alongside the other two.

Puzzles

Chocolat Puzzle

The first of the two chocolate collaborations is based on the Chocolat Gateau flavor. The password is "ナゾトキブレイクタイム" ("Nazotoki Break Time").

The puzzle it offers, "チョコレイトン1" ("Chocolayton 1"), tasks you with giving chocolates to characters in a specific order. This one actually made it to the overseas versions, but was rebranded as a story puzzle called "Choc-Full" instead.

In Choubunmei A no Isan, puzzle #023 is completely different; it asks the player to figure out which apprentice at a fruitcake shop said that because of their cutting, the fruitcake is full of 'S' ('S' actually being a shape created by the skin of peeled apples).

Cake Puzzle

The second of the two chocolate collaborations is based on the Chiffon Cake flavor. The password is "ナゾトキティータイム" ("Nazotoki Tea Time").

The puzzle it offers is called "チョコレイトン2" ("Chocolayton 2"), where the player has to make a specific shape on a cake with powdered sugar from vague directions. Unlike the first one, this never made it to any other versions despite having fully translated text.

A boy has asked a chocolatier to decorate

this cake for him in a very specific way.
Unfortunately, he doesn't know the name of
the thing he wants depicted on it. All he can
tell the chocolatier is that {"}it's a lady that
flies, but it doesn't have any feathers.{"}

Combine four of the ten patterns below to
decorate the cake with the creature that
the boy requested.

Success

You knocked the spots off that one!

A lady that flies? It's got to be a
ladybug! What a cute cake you've made!

Failure

Too bad.

Be sure to try out various combinations
of shapes.

Hint 1

First of all, think about what it is you need

to make. What did the boy say again?
{"}It's a lady, and it flies, but it doesn't
have any feathers.{"}

Can you think of any kind of type of lady that
might not have feathers and fly?

Hint 2

You can create a variety of creatures using

different combinations of these patterns:
a bee, a penguin, even a panda!

Try to make as many different creatures as
you can. If you come across one that fits the
boy's criteria, you know you've got the right
one!

Hint 3

All real birds have feathers. Think about

what creature is referred to as a {"}lady{"}.
Remember that this is a creature that can
fly!

It's not a lordbug. What else is there?

Super Hint

Even when you know what kind of creature

you're aiming for, actually creating it using
the patterns you've got is another story.

Look closely at the top screen. The boy's
left a sketch for you in the bottom-right
corner. Copy that and your cake's all but
made!

Just make sure you copy the right sketch...

Soccer Puzzle

The password for this one is "サッカーやろうぜ!" ("Let's play soccer!"), a line commonly said by the main character of Inazuma Eleven, Endou Mamoru. Likely what the game means by the password being "something related".

The puzzle is called "河川敷で練習!" ("Kasenjiki de renshū!", "Practice on the Riverbed!"), featuring a handful of Inazuma Eleven GO characters attempting to kick a soccer ball into a net according to a specific pattern.

Like the previous, the text is fully translated in the English version.

Time for some passing practice!

Unfortunately, only three of your players
are in position. It's up to you to put the
other eight in the right place so that all
of them can touch the ball on its way to the
goal.
The panels on the touch screen indicate the
direction in which each player will kick the
ball, and how far it will travel. You'll have to
pass the ball over some of the cones.
Touch OK! to start training. The ball will
travel from its starting position in the
direction indicated by the arrow.

What a wonderful team goal!

The ball starts out by moving one square

downwards from its starting position, so
you'll need to place one of your panels in
the square immediately below it. The panel
that goes here is either the lowest one on
the left, the top one on the right or the one
three down on the right. Think carefully
about which one you choose - you won't be
able to make it to the goal if you start out by
making the wrong move.

Hint 2

First of all, place the lowest panel on the

left in the square immediately below the ball.
Immediately to the left of that one, place the
lowest panel on the right. This means the
ball will now travel two panels downwards, so
you know where to place the next panel,
don't you?

Hint 3

Put the third panel down on the right two

squares beneath the last panel you placed,
and the third panel down from the left as
far down as you can in the central column.
Beneath this one there's a fixed blue panel
that will cause the ball to travel two squares
to the right. Place the top panel on the left
in the bottom-right corner of the pitch.

Super Hint

If you've positioned all the panels as

instructed in the previous hints, the ball
should follow the following path: left one,
down two, right two, down one, right two
(blue panel), up three. If everything's in
order, the next panel you need to place is
the the second one down on the right.
Place it on the right edge of the pitch, as
far up as it will go.

Now there's only two panels left to place!
