So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?
Notes: There are many more differences between the Retail version.

There are 2 review builds, NTSC and PAL both dated July 20, 2004. However the NTSC version reports being compiled July 18.

Differences

Before the Title Screen

  • There is a loading screen before every intro FMV.
  • A different loading screen when you launch the game.
Notice the lack of... anything besides the loading bar.

Title Screen

No "in association with Electronic Arts" text

Missing blue line at the top.

Menu

  • There are more loading screens.
Hmmm...
To do:
Add the unused/changed loading screens.
  • All options in the 'Extra' menu are locked. This includes the Need for Speed: Underground 2 Demo and all of the FMV's (Strangely, the tutorial videos can be played in the 'Training' menu)

Soundtrack

  • Contains 6 removed songs:
    • The Vines - Ride
    • Time In Malta - Louder Than Bombs
    • Modest Mouse - Float On
    • Snapcase - Skeptic (later featured in Need for Speed: Underground 2)
    • The Datsuns - Messin Around
    • The Killers - Somebody Told Me
  • There are overall 40 songs in this build, instead of 44 in Retail.
  • No matter if you choose tracks to be sequential or random, Time In Malta - Louder Than Bombs will be the first track to play when you enter the menu.
  • Unlike in the final version, The F'Ups - Lazy Generation has a album name. The censored word is 'Screw'.
