Drivers names

FOURWHL.DAT GRPB.DAT and TWOWHL.DAT (located in DATA/DRIVERS) contains a lot of differents in used drivers names.

• The FOURWHL.DAT has only one name changed

• Changes in GRPB.DAT. Final game uses only 7 opponents for Group B Championship, so some names were partially overwritten with NULL and left unused. Also GRPB.DAT in demo used same names as used in FOURWHL.DAT.

Service Area

• SERVICE.BIG (located DATA/SETUPREP) have different .tag model in demo, and also names of demo textures pf_tentx.tm2 (where x=1,2,3) got removed p from them.
• SHAKE.BIG have another mech_w1.SLO and mech_w1.TAG in demo, also again some textures were renamed: Feet.TM2, Hands.TM2, head.TM2 and head2.TM2 got m in the end of name. Also in final version exists head3.TM2, which looks like simillar to head2.TM2.

Configuration files

• TIMES.DEF (located in DATA/HIGHSCOR) contains different time values for stages. In demo, only Japan and Usa stage got unique values (they have significantly faster time, so it's difficult to win AI in demo.), because other tracks weren't presented and used generic values. This file also have next developer message:

Anyone who changes this file and      
isn't me is a dirty little cheater

Ghosts data

• JAP1.CGR and USA2.CGR (from DATA/GHOST) are different from final ones. Demo ghosts uses another drivers names, cars, and have faster time for stages.

Replay data

• In DATA/REPLAYS demo has 1_03_01.JAP and 2_00_01.USA, which are absent in final. These files were replaced with other replays. In Xbox version LIST.TXT mentions less files in demo.
• Also in DATA/SSREPLAY demo has FINSSS.R00, which is Colin McRae Rally 3 leftover. Final game uses another replays with RPL extension (no replays for Finland stages presented).
• All aforomentioned files in demo don't contain replay data itself and fullfied with zeros and useless symbols.
