- The game's icon is different:
August 12 | Final |
---|---|
Attract/Title
- The "Updating song list" message no longer appears.
- The "warnings" screen was updated, fixing many of the typos from the earlier build. "Severe" is still misspelled as "server", though.
July 1 | August 12 | Final |
---|---|---|
Main Menu
- All of the menus now have their proper background videos.
- Challenge Mode now works.
- The Xbox LIVE mode is referred to as simply "LIVE".
July 1 | August 12 | Final |
---|---|---|
Battle Mode
- The Battle Mode menus now resemble the final release, though with the old text from the earlier build.
August 12 | Final |
---|---|
Workout Mode
- The grammar issue in the "Goal" setting string was fixed. The "Menu" setting still uses the old text, however.
Edit Mode
- The references to the PlayStation 2 have been removed from the game's strings.
Gameplay
- The songlist is mostly the same as the final US release, though the licenses Do That Thang, Ready Steady Go and Shiny Disco Balls, as well as the Konami originals Healing Vision and PARANOiA Rebirth, are absent.
- Colors for EXTREME, GRADIUSIC CYBER, Healing Vision Angelic Mix, MGS2 mission R, ORION.78 civilization mix, PUT YOUR FAITH IN ME SATURDAY NIGHT MIX and Sana Molette Ne Ente BLT STYLE are already available by default.
- When loading a song, its tags are now displayed.
Results Screen
- Though the results theme was updated to match the final product, the grading graphics are still the same as the earlier prototype.
Credits
- The credits section still does not have its unique video and background theme.
- While the game's credits can be accessed, the text seems to be that of a very early version of the listing meant for the game's European release, showing some licensing deals that didn't make the cut. Additionally, due to the way the text is formatted, some of the line breaks are shown as Ω symbols in-game.
