Hmmm...
To do:
Add the other sections.

There are dozens of sound files never used in the retail game. Some include full conversations, and many have generic voices that were to be re-recorded later. Several conversations in the retail version were shortened from the prototype.

Barney

This folder mostly contains reused sounds from Half-Life 1, but there are a few test sounds included as well.

Trans6

Trans6 is one of the files in the "Trans" series of sound effects in the "testcitadel" folder. There is a persistent rumour that claims this sound is heavily edited and distorted from a recording of disputed veracity by the Judica-Cordiglia brothers supposedly of a Soviet cosmonaut communicating with mission control as her spacecraft burned up in the Earth's atmosphere upon reentry. In reality, it is sourced from a recording from The Conet Project, a collection of number station recordings spanning from 1992 to 1997 which was also used for other sounds in the "Trans" series. The specific track used for Trans6 is titled "Ready Ready 15728".
