...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.

An earlier build of HDTF from 2017 that was released by one of the devs. It contains unused models, different textures, developer maps ETC. It appears to use the 2016 demo as the base. This build crashes a lot on earlier maps due to the rain effect not working, the only way to fix this is to set the console variable "r_RainSimulate", to 0.

Hmmm...
To do:
  • There are a lot of changes compare to the retail version like different models, high resolution textures, different sounds for weapons, demo leftovers ETC.
  • Document every map and add description about them+screenshot/s showing the map.
  • Document the differences in the archived files.

The menu screen in the leaked build is far more primitive than what is seen in the final. The menu screen in the Beta has demo Mitchell along with Oscar and Nick looking towards a large group of unused characters in a line. These are potentially early versions of the child soldiers that Mitch recruits in the final game. There is also a green light illuminating the scene. Which is the same shade as what is usually seen on a green screen. This menu can also be found in the 2016 Demo.
