European Demos
Euro Demo series
Demos were released on four discs: SCED-02636, SCED-02639, SCED-03790, and SCED-04074 (Official UK PlayStation Magazine Issues 62, 65, 87, and 95, respectively). While all four have differences from the final version, the demos on Issues 65 and 95 are 100% identical to each other, while the one on Issue 87 only differs from those two in regards to the PIT_XA.XA file (present in WTC/SOUNDS). As such, only the demos on Issues 62 and 65 will be covered here.
All four demo releases contain all five of the European languages present in the final game (English, German, French, Italian, and Spanish). The final game ended up splitting them up into two different pressings.
Euro Demo 62 (SCED-02636)
This demo disc was released in September 2000. Unfortunately, all contents of this disc share the same timestamp: June 23, 2000.
- Another copyright screen. Game name text designed slightly different.
- Intro cinematic isn't shown, despite it being present in the files. It looks almost the same as final counterpart, but with an earlier game logo at the end. Later Euro Demo builds also contain this earlier intro.

- No menu music, only sounds. No crew and commentator voice in-race.
- Loading screen close to final, but contains information about final game and it's release date. Helmet and gloves uses earlier "WTC" logo (also featured in Codemasters DPK), which later was reused as logo for Japanese version. Also when demo is quits to demo disc menu, additional loading screen appears.
- Another game logo in menus. Just featured only "TOCA" abriveature, instead of full name.
- Only Free Race and Time Trial modes available.
- No options available to change. It's possible only to view predefined controller assignments.
- When choosing Free Race, game starts Hockenheimring stage with Alfa Romeo.
- Prerace track menu doesn't have track info. In prerace car setup menu no load/save functions.
- If you win race, game will show race results (no replay functions) and load Adelaide stage with Mitsubishi GTO, after finishing this race in any position demo quits to demo disc menu. If you lose on first stage (any place, except 1st) demo also finishes itself. Race results screen also features earlier WTC logo.
- Also exists files for Catalunya stage, but it's unknown is it works in demo. It could be in Time Trial mode (but it hang up on emulators). Probably it looks same as in Euro Demo 65.
- Demo is same function as Load Replay from final game. Here available only replay of Mitsubishi GTO at night stage in Hockenheimring. Here draws game logo and demo instead of replay. Replay controls are disabled and if any button pressed, game quits to demo disc menu.
