Unused Graphics

These graphics can be found in the early Evolved demo.

NETZ

KKND NETZ.png

KKnD originally had an advanced network service called NETZ. Among its features were friend lists and customizable unit restrictions.

Menagerie

KKND Demo Menagerie Construction.gif KKND Demo Menagerie Gates.gif KKND Demo Menagerie Roof.gif KKND Demo Menagerie 1.png KKND Demo Menagerie 2.png

Evolved Menagierie was different than its retail version. It had animated the gate and the roof. In KKND there are flying units - bombers, however they're not controllable. This cut Menagerie building could suggest that flying units were supposed to be controllable because the roof opens, so they could land and be repaired.

Repairbay

Just like Evolved, Survivors also had different building for Repairbay. However the demo lacks sprites for it. It uses the final sprites, however the preview image for building placement still has the second repairs as seen above.

Vespiary

Original cut sprites Fan-made recreated sprites
KKND Demo Vespiary.png KKND Demo Vespiary button 1.png KKND Demo Vespiary button 2.png KKND Vespiary Animation.gif

A part of scrapped Vespiary building (on the left) can be found in official KKND collage picture. Its thumbnail buttons can be found in the early Evolved demo. The building was probably required to gain access to Wasp bombers.

Airfield

Original cut sprites Fan-made recreated sprites
KKND Demo Airfield 1.png KKND Demo Airfield 2.png KKND Airfield Animation.gif

Just like Evolved, Survivors had their own counterpart to Vespairy, Airfield building. It had most likely the same purpose as Vespiary, granting access to bombers.

Detention Center

KKND Demo Detention Center.gif

Scrapped contruction frames. Prison buildings were supposed to be buildable. Its counterpart, Holding Pen is absent in the early demo.

Unknown buildings

KKND Unknown Building 1.png KKND Unknown building 2.png KKND Unknown Tower.png KKND Unknown Tower 2.png

The purpose of these buildings is unknown. The building on the left could be F.O.B.S system, that means it could be a cut superweapon. The right picture could be an AA tower.

Resources button

KKND Power Button 1.png KKND Power Button 2.png KKND Power Button 3.png

Cut resources button. In the earlier versions of the game, the oil was needed to generate power, however in the retail version, the oil appears to be stored.

Unknown UI buttons

KKND Unknown UI Buttons.png

These are very old thumbnail buttons which indicate there was for example a specific button for repair feature. The top thumbnail appears to be El Presidente button.

Unused Sounds

The following unused sounds can be only found in the early Evolved demo.

This could have been an additional attack voice for Evolved veteran infantry.
This is most likely a cut alternative sound indicator for Wasp bomber being ready.
This is an alternative sound indicator for oil patch becoming low. It was probably cut because of the length of quote was too long.
The purpose of this sound is unknown.
Sound indicator for a lost unit.
Cut sound of getting resources. Its sounding is more electric, probably due the power was generated instead of storing oil.
