A Japanese version of Klustar was seen at Spaceworld 1999 with a planned release that November (the guidebook lists November 4 on one page and November 11 on another), only to be pushed back to March 1, 2001 before being scrapped entirely.
A build dated September 20, 1999 (see below) was found among the Game Boy lotcheck leak. It seems to be largely identical to the US release, just with most of the text translated to Japanese.
