This is a sub-page of Proto:La-Mulana (2006)/Demo.

Red room = Boss

Interestingly, the demo uses both quote marks and Japanese hook brackets instead of only the latter in the final. Since there is no detailed map in-game, please see the one to the right to know where in the build do the locations on the categories' names refer to.

Instead of introducing the player to the ruins like in the final game, this stone tablet simply has the area's name printed, probably as a placeholder.

This tablet activates Hard Mode in the demo. It was moved to the Mausoleum of the Giants in the final and a hint for the divine lightning stayed in its place. Notably, even the text that was moved is different, but it also borrows a line from the tablet that stayed in its place.

Comment by the programmer Samieru. For some reason, he felt the need to put his message on a stone tablet, so it has to be deciphered first. The module used in the game known as SSCC notably has an interpunct here, likely since it's an abbreviation of Sanbiki SCC, as indicated by its filename SanbikiScc.dls. This was later replaced with an off-hand comment by a skeleton.

A hint for the puzzle that gives you the Ankh Jewel, which was replaced with text about the Mausoleum of the Giants in the final. The Demo tablet is also notable for using the full game's second unused tablet image.

From the skeleton at the bottom. This contained a comment by the developer duplex; it was changed to contain the final game's hint for Row 3's puzzle, referencing the B-4 tablet that had it in the Demo.

This one uses the third unused image in the Demo, and was also replaced by a hint for another area. Who is "Iarin" is unknown, but since the text looks like a joke, it's likely that it wasn't supposed to go into the final product.

What does it mean by guards?

Skeleton on top of a left platform. In the final, this filler text was replaced by a clue to activating E-4's puzzle, referencing the tablet that had it in the demo.
