How about a nice leek in this trying time?
This page or section details content from the TestFlight Terascrape Leak.
Check the TestFlight Terascrape Leak category for more pages also sourced from this material.

Included in the scraping of archived TestFlight CDNs is a beta build of My Muppets Show (originally called "My Singing Muppets" in the app name and "The Muppets Show" in text strings) from March 16, 2013, nearly two months before the final version was built. This build includes many differences from the final game, like early Muppet designs, animations, and early vocal Muppet sounds that are placeholder recordings by composer Dave Kerr and his wife Maggie Park.

App Icon and Opening Image

The icon of the beta is based off the Mammott app icon used in older versions of MSM, with the background being changed to green and Mammott being replaced by Animal. The final icon uses a different background, this time yellow, a different image of Animal, and a blue border with the Disney logo in the top right corner.

When opening up the app, an image briefly appears for a second whilst the app loads. In the beta, this is a black background with what seems to be an earlier design of Kermit in the bottom right corner. In the final game, this was changed to be a large image of Animal wearing headphones with a red shine coming from behind him.

In this beta, Animal's design is almost the same as the final release, but with unfinished sprites for his drumkit, seat, and shadows.

Rowlf

Rowlf has a different design in this beta, having a black upright piano and seat instead of a wooden piano and seat, and having early, less polished art.

Sound Differences

The Muppet Theater

Animal

Beta Final

Animal's first track is different on the Muppet Theater, having an extra hit track on top of it. This early version of his sound is heard in his third track in the final game on top of his "Drums drums!" line. His second track has an extra layer of cymbals. It should be noted that Animal's third track does not exist in this beta.

Rowlf

Beta Final

Rowlf's first track in this beta plays two octaves rather than only one like in the final sound.

Beta Final

Similarly to his first track, his third track also has two octaves. His voice is a placeholder recorded by Dave Kerr, and he says "Oh yeah, move it baby now!" instead of "Okay, here we go now!"

Sam Eagle

Beta Final

Sam Eagle is a placeholder recorded by Dave Kerr.

Floyd

Beta Final

Floyd's first track mistakenly has a click at the beginning that isn't there in the final sound.

Beta Final

Floyd's third track is a placeholder, with a rather goofy voice.

Snowth

Beta Final

Snowth's sound is yet another placeholder by Dave. The voice is somewhat similar to Furcorn from My Singing Monsters, as that Monster was also voiced by Dave.

The Divettes/The Twins/Veggies

Beta Final

The Divettes (called The Twins in this beta) are placeholders by Dave. Interestingly, a slightly quieter duplicate of these sounds exists for the Veggies, implying these sounds were once meant for them.

Zoot

Beta Final

Some notes in Zoot's first track are held longer compared to the final.

Mahna Mahna

Beta Final

Mahna Mahna is again a placeholder sound by Dave.

Miss Piggy

Beta Final

Miss Piggy is a placeholder sound, again sounding similar to Furcorn.

Kermit

Beta Final

Kermit uses some goofy sounding placeholder audio.

Fozzie

Beta Final

Fozzie is a placeholder sound by Dave.

The Kitchen

Floyd

Beta Final

Floyd's Kitchen sounds have a different rhythm in this version.

Rowlf

Beta Final

The volumes on some of Rowlf's notes in his second track, especially at the beginning, are louder. Additionally, near the end, some notes are changed.

Swedish Chef

Beta Final

Swedish Chef is a placeholder sound by Dave.

Chickens

Beta Final

The Chickens are another placeholder by Dave, and they seem to say "Quack quack" rather than "Bock bock".

The Divettes/The Twins

Beta Final

Here the Divettes/Twins seem to be voiced by Maggie Park, Dave's wife. Also in the second half, both voices go up in pitch rather than just one.

Veggies

Beta Final

The Veggies are a placeholder recording by Dave, and they sound very Furcorn-esque. Interestingly, this sound is in the final sound but quieter, and layered on top of the Muppet voice actor.

Gonzo

Beta Final

The lengths on some of Gonzo's notes are different, causing some notes to overlap.

Zoot

Beta Final

Zoot's beta sound has no gaps in between notes.

Beaker

Beta Final

Interestingly, Beaker has 2 layers of voice and also doesn't say "meep".

Kermit

Beta Final

Like Beaker, Kermit also has 2 layers of voice.

Rizzo

In this beta build, Rizzo's sound is completely blank.

The Big House/The Alley

The Big House, despite being the fifth stage released in the final game, has sounds in this beta build. This is from when it was originally the third stage and was called the Alley. There are still remnants of this stage in the release version of the game in text and some images.

Animal

Beta Final

Animal's first track is half the length that it is in the final song. He's also missing his second track.

Dr. Teeth/Rowlf

Beta (Dr. Teeth) Final (Rowlf)

Dr. Teeth originally played Rowlf's sounds in this version. His third track is half the length of Rowlf's third track in the final song.

Floyd

Beta Final

Floyd's first and third tracks were originally half the length that they are in the final song, and in his third track the notes are shorter than in the final sound.

Swedish Chef

Beta Final

Swedish Chef is another placeholder vocal by Dave Kerr.

Chickens

Beta Final

Here the Chickens go "la" instead of "bock".

Kizzy/Miss Tambourine

Beta Final

Kizzy's (called Miss Tambourine in this build) sound is half its length of the final sound in this version.

Big Mo/Mr. Pots and Pans

Big Mo (called Mr. Pots and Pans in this version) is missing his second track.

Rats

Beta Final

The Rat's first track has an extra note near the beginning that was removed in the final sound.

Sweetums

Beta Final

Sweetums' sound is different in this version, and was likely changed due to Constantine's addition to the song.

Rizzo

Beta Final

Rizzo's placeholder sound makes him not sound like a chain smoker anymore. He is also missing his second track.

Mahna Mahna

Beta Final

Mahna Mahna's placeholder sound follows the notes of Walter's sound. The sound is also half the length of the final sound.

Miss Piggy

Beta Final

Miss Piggy's placeholder sound is half the length of her final sound and has reverb. You can also hear the song in the background.

Beaker

Beta Final

Similarly to Miss Piggy, Beaker's sound is also half the length of his final sound and you can hear the song in the background, this time more clearer.

Snowth

Similarly to Rizzo on the Kitchen, Snowth's sound is completely blank.
