Plants vs. Zombies 3 made its first debut when it was released on Android devices for pre-alpha testing on July 16, 2019 mainly for users in the United States and Canada. This pre-alpha ended on February 10, 2020 and the game would enter a soft launch on February 25, 2020 in select countries, namely the Philippines, Romania, and Indonesia.
Owing to frosty reception from fans, PopCap and EA would scrap everything and restart with a new direction, with the soft launch made unavailable on November 18, 2020 to make way for these changes. Thanks to this change in direction, any unused content seen here will likely remain unused in the foreseeable future.

Unused Plants
Acorn Oak
A plant based on Acorn and Oak from Battle For Neighborville, Acorn Oak can fire shells that home in on the left-most zombie on the lawn. It's plant food effect, Super Sappy, fires a spiral of acorn shells that slow zombies they hit. It's tacobility, Wood Grief, makes it gain a third acorn, plus a cannon that deals heavy damage with a chance to knock back zombies.
Seeds of Destruction
Splash Screen description
To the Acorns, every battle has a taste, and that taste is always fudge. Good thing they like fudge. Oak, on the other leaf, is more of a nougat guy, so he concentrates on military logistics, which (for the record) taste like nougat.
