Proto:Pokémon Diamond and Pearl/March-August 2006 Source Leak/March 23rd SDAT commit
This is a sub-page of Proto:Pokémon Diamond and Pearl/March-August 2006 Source Leak.
This is the second SDAT commit made on March 23rd, 2006.
All songs from the previous commit still exist in this version, unchanged, unless otherwise noted.
There is also an SDAT commit made on the 26th of this month, but it is identical to this revision.
The Town, City and Route music sound combined as a result of Game Freak, in some early versions, silenced channels for day/night variations.
Contents
Town SEQs
SEQ_TOWN01
The sour note in this rendition of Twinleaf Town was corrected from the previous commit.
SEQ_TOWN03
An early version of Floaroma Town. It's similar to the final version, however there is not as wide of a stereo spectrum as the final version has. The song would eventually be "split up" into day and night variants, considering it sounds like both of them are played together.
Route SEQs
SEQ_ROAD_B
SEQ_ROAD_B now has a slot, but it is a duplicate of SEQ_ROAD_D from the March 12th build.
Dungeon SEQs
SEQ_D_01 and SEQ_D_03 slots now exist, but they are simply duplicates of SEQ_DUNGEON01 from the previous commit.
SEQ_D_RYAYHY
Similar to the final, however the intro is missing the high piano notes, and the trumpet immediately starts to play with the saxophones rather than the saxophones having their own first measure.
Pokémon Center Theme
SEQ_PC_01
Now has the piano present in the final version, and appears to be identical to the final besides mixing.
Gym Theme
SEQ_GYM
The bass is now more quiet, and the mixing has been changed.
Underground
SEQ_TANKOU
Some of the instruments missing in the previous version have since been added. Mixing differs from the final version of the track.
Trainer's Eyes Meet Themes
SEQ_EYE_BOY
Now has the lead from the final version. Nearly identical to the final, but is missing some percussion.
SEQ_EYE_FIGHT, SEQ_EYE_GINGA
The mixing has been slightly altered.
Battle! Wild Pokémon
SEQ_BA_POKE
The trumpet at the beginning is missing, and overall it is lacking instruments the final has.
SEQ_WINPOKE
Mixing differs from the previous commit and from the final version.
Battle! Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf
Much more simple than the final version at this point. Missing many instruments and it seems little more than the base melody has been laid down. Of note is that the piano near the beginning is instead percussion here. This is unused in this build, since the new legendaries weren't added yet.
Contest Themes
SEQ_CON_TEST
Very similar to the final version.
SEQ_CO_JUNBI, SEQ_CO_IREKAE, SEQ_CO_KAWAI
Three very peculiar contest-related songs. Throughout the SDAT's commit history it was unusual to see clearly placeholder-like music in slots, so it seems these were made out of necessity very quickly. Only SEQ_CO_KAWAI loops. SEQ_CO_KAWAI is the only one of these three that exist in the final version, however it sounds nothing like this.
