The password screen's choices are almost completely different. The absence of numbers in particular makes it impossible to enter any of the passwords from the final.

The pot item in Level 2's Antique Shop and Level 6's Peanut Village store was renamed to "vase" in the final. The change is likely due to Nintendo of America's content policies at the time, given that "pot" is a slang term for marijuana.
